Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Where am I [1]

The world looked faded, his eyes were blurry and hot with tears, Alan's head spun, trying to clean his eyes only for his vision to dull a bit more as a panel appeared, glowing with a transculent blue light as it hovered in front of him.

[Assessing...

[Configurating...

After what seemed like hours but only seventeen seconds passed, a chime echoed softly in his head.

[Ding! You have successfully been transmigrated into Minecraft!]

[... processing...

[ Selecting class...

[Error! Selection failed!]

[ Reinitializing...

{Successful! You have awakened the unique class: 'prismarix'.}

[ Physical alteration suggested to suit class requirements]

[Do you wish to proceed?]

The world around Alan still blurred as he slowly sat up, cleaning his eyes, even though everything was blurry he could still see the words brightly detailed on the transculent bright blue panel.

"Physical alterations?,oh well,it can't get any worse right?", Alan muttered to himself as he clicked proceed.

But it got worse.

[ Physical reconfiguration 1%...5%...7%...

His muscles tore themselves apart and reformed in what seemed like an endless cycle, his limbs elongating themselves as faint stretching sounds clicked constantly. His eyes burned so much he closed them only for the heat to increase further, drawing a groan that sounded somewhere between agony and despair. His vision blurred once more as his strength faded, giving way to darkness as everything went black.

After a few hours, light returned back to his eyes as he jolted up, examining his body while still breathing from the previous ordeal, as the environment became clearer and looked more detailed,he saw trees standing at over 15 meters tall, with dried leaves drifting lazily towards a transparent blue lake that rippled faintly with evidence that marine life thrived in it.

Mustering some strength, he staggered to the face of the seemingly endless lake and his reflection shocked him.

The first shift was subtle: the baby softness around his cheeks thinned, revealing angles that had always been waiting underneath. His jawline sharpened, no longer curved but cut, defined enough that light started to cling to it differently. His chin projected with quiet authority instead of uncertainty.

His eyes changed in a mysterious way, the brown in his eyes had completely disappeared, replaced by a cold icy blue, they stopped darting, the restless flicker fading into something slower and steadier.

Where once his eyebrows lifted easily in a curious, reactive manner, they now settled lower, giving his face a natural intensity. Not aggression, just depth. As if he was processing more than he was revealing.

His cheekbones became more pronounced, catching shadow in a way that gave dimension to his expressions. Even at rest, his face carried structure. His lips, once quick to grin in nervous reflex, now curved with restraint, showing a controlled half-smile that revealing less, shrouding him in a mysterious aura.

His skin cleared, tightened, matured. Not flawless — but firmer, healthier, intentional. The boyish puffiness disappeared, replaced by a lean muscle frame that revealed less, but proved more. Even the way he held his neck changed; the forward tilt of adolescence corrected into alignment. Head up. Shoulders back. Face forward.

Alan examined his chin, his resting face showing visible signs of developed weight, calm in a kind of quiet severity that made strangers assume competence before he spoke. The nervous micro-expressions disappeared. He no longer broadcasted uncertainty. His features learned economy, fewer movements, more impact.

Where there was once softness, there is now structure. Where there was once reaction, there is now restraint. Where there was once a boy asking the world who he was...

there stands a man whose mysterious physique and unreadable expressions answers the questions instead of uncertainty and doubt.

The system flashed in front of him, showing him a panel that hovered mysteriously in the air.

" What the hell... ", Alan muttered to himself as he examined every single detail of the panel. Then suddenly–

" New awakener huh, still at human level though...", a voice echoed in his head, sighing in slight disappointment.

" Give him time zardon, he's still at the baseline for human standards, besides, he can narrowly overpower other humans in terms of overall stats at least...", another voice replied, defending Alan.

"Who the heck are these?", Alan thought to himself. The two voices paused as if they heard his thoughts, then they replied him.

" You're finally awake human, i never knew humans slept that long tho...", the defending voice replied, confusing Alan even more ." How long was i asleep?", alan asked out of simple curiosity.

"About a week and a half, you're lucky you spawned in a safe zone though, if not you'd be dead by now", the voice said, a hint of relief in his tone.

"What?!, a week and a half, Okay then, so where am i?, an uncharted island, the center of the earth, or...", Alan asked, trying to restrain himself but curiosity getting the best of him as he wanted an answer.

" Kid, first of all, you're not on earth–

"WHAT???!!!, THEN WHERE THE HELL AM I–". His exclamation was cut as a spectral hand smacked the back of his head.

"Ow, what was that for?", Alan asked, feeling more of the pain in his soul rather than the back of his head.

"Keep it down will ya, not everyone's happy that i chose you , and also, you are in Minecraft".

As soon as the voice said that, a notification chimed softly in Alan's head as the blue transculent panel appeared before him once more, shimmering faintly with a pale blue light.

[Congratulations! You have arrived at your destination:Minecraft;odds, mods and gods]

It was then that Alan realized that he had gotten himself roped up into some pretty complicated situation."Damn..., just what the hell have i gotten myself into?".
