"However!" All might held up a finger before anyone could draw, "There is an odd number of you, so one of you will go twice!"
"Any volunteers?" He asked and looked around and nobody raised their hands.
"The volunteer will be on both sides!" He tried to spice it up, but I'll just get it over with and volunteer myself.
"Ok Hanabi! Thanks for your courage!" He gave a thumbs up.
"Alright everyone, lets get to it!" He called out and everyone got their teams chosen by lottery.
I ended up being put with Yaororozu for the villain team and Kaminari for the hero team, I don't know which will be first but Midorya and Ochaco ended up on the same team and they're against Bakugo and Ida, just like in the original.
"To the observation room!" All might shouted, getting our attention while the villain team set up their bomb as we followed him.
-inside-
"In here, we can watch the battle from a safe distance, as well as gauge their performance." All might explained, "Each team has their own comms to communicate with each other, and I will be listening in on both sides."
Jiro raised her hand-
"Will be listening too?"
"No, unfortunately not." He shook his head.
"It's about to start, so watch closely." He told the class as the hero team hit the ground running and ran straight in.
I had to take off my blindfold for this, as screens aren't 3-dimensional, so I can't see what's on em'.
But it didn't really matter too much as the fight went the same as cannon, I guess fate's a thing, huh?
I watched as Midorya argued with Bakugo, stalling for time as Ochaco made her way close to the bomb.
Quickly, things dissolved for the villain team as Bakugo snapped from his argument and Midorya decided it was time to destroy the building with a punch.
The commotion caused by the destruction gave Ochaco the chance to touch the bomb-
"Hero team wins!" All might shouted over the intercom as he, headed to the field.
It looked like Bakugo was going to have a conniption fit before All might put his hand on his shoulder.
"Let's head back Bakugo." He said, not in a booming voice, "Time for your grading."
"Wheather you win or lose, you can always come ahead by learning." He comferted the spikey teen.
They quickly returned, with the other two, as Midorya was being carted off by robots to the nurse's office.
-back in monitor room-
"Well, I'd say-" All might looked to the participants, "THE VIP WAS IDA!"
"Wha-!" He was caught off guard.
"Not Midorya or Ochaco cuz they won?" The frog girl tilted her head.
"I wonder why!" Alll might made exaggerated movements, "Anyone know!?"
"I do All might sensei." Our rich girl student spoke up, "It was because Ida was able to adapt to the scenario."
"From what I saw, Bakugo's every action was motivated by a personal grudge." Bakugo mumbled at this.
"And as you mentioned, destructive attacks shouldn't be used indoors, and Midorya suffered the same faults." It was at this moment I began tuning out her explanation...
"YES, you are correct!" All might's thundering voice woke me from my stupor.
"We've got to work from the bottom up! And if we don't earnestly cheer each other on..." Yaoyoruzo put on a little pose, "We'll never be top heroes!"
*clap*
"All right!" All might clapped, "Time for the next group!"
"Hero team B, Todorki and Shoji, and they will be fighting villain team I, Hanabi and Yaoyorozu!" We prepared to leave to the new location.
"Good luck both teams!" With that we left to our waiting rooms to deliberate our strategy.
-in the room-
"I'll get straight to the point," She looked me in the 'eyes', despite me wearing the blindfold, "What's with the blindfold and what is your quirk actually?"
"I'll start with the quirk, as it will lead to the blindfold."
"My quirk is vector manipulation." Her eyes widened at this, smart girl, "I can manipulate and sense all vectors near me, getting better when I close my eyes, hence the blindfold, but it also serves as identity protection."
"That's really powerful, but there has to be a weakness right?" She asked but something else came up in her mind, "Also I doubt it will help as there isn't really any snake heroes."
"... Let's not talk about that part..." I looked away, "Anyways, weaknesses!"
"The weakness is that it requires a lot of calculations and I have to understand what I am manipulating."
She nodded, "That makes sense, I could help you study if you want, but not now, lets discuss strategy."
"Yes, For Todoroki, I believe he will freeze the place, and freezing us to the floor by extension." I remember this part from the anime thankfully, "How about we set a barrier to protect areas?
"Makes sense, but we don't have much of an idea on his strength, but I suspect that Shoji will play recon."
"I will try to make loud speakers to disrupt his hearing and distract him."
"Sounds great!" I gave my approval and she snickered a little at my pun.
-villain base, round starting-
"Ready?" I asked and extended a fist.
"Yes." She gave a fist bump and the round started.
*fwoosh*
The entire building froze solid, except we managed to avoid getting frozen to the ground by making a small shelter.
"Wait for them to set the sound traps, then we go." She ordered.
*BEEEEE-*
With the blaring sound as our indicator, I smashed open our makeshift shield, exposing us to the cold ice.
"It's the roof alarm, Shoji must be there, meaning Todoroki is heading up." She observed.
"You take care of him, I'll protect the bomb."
"Got.. it" I nodded.
'Strange... Did I stay up late?' I noticed my body getting sluggish, and it seems Yoayorozu noticed as well.
It looked like a realization stuck her as her eyes widened and she immediately made pocket warmers.
"You are reptilian, right!?" She said this with great urgency, surprising me.
"...Yeah?" I tilted my head, "I'm... a snake."
This time it was my turn for a revelation as I remembered something about reptilians.
"They get sleepy and sluggish in the cold!" We yelled at the same time as realization struck.
'I need to get warmer,' I thought, 'and fast! Todoroki is coming!'
