I watch him from just a step behind.
Caspian is completely still, but not in that tense way he sometimes carries himself. It's different here. His shoulders aren't tight. His attention isn't scattered. It's like the entire world narrowed down to what's in front of him.
The view.
He's just looking at it.
Really looking at it.
Not like someone checking a box or taking it in quickly before moving on. Like he actually has to pause his thoughts just to process what he's seeing.
And I don't know why that hits me more than anything else today.
Maybe because this place was always just mine before.
Something I came to when my head got too loud. When I needed space. When I didn't want anyone around.
And now he's here.
And instead of it feeling like someone intruding, it feels… right.
Like I was waiting for him to see it without even knowing I was.
