-Kyle Vale:
When I woke up this morning, there was this ridiculous feeling in my chest like something inside me had permanently shifted overnight, like my body had accepted a new reality before my mind even had the chance to catch up with it.
Because yesterday… yesterday still didn't feel real.
It felt like something I had imagined too vividly and somehow got lucky enough to actually live through.
All Caspian had done was kiss my cheek.
That was it.
Just a single kiss.
And yet my entire system had basically stopped functioning properly ever since.
After he pulled me back with magic and pressed his lips to my cheek, I remember standing there outside his room, completely frozen, like my body had forgotten how to obey me. I couldn't move. I couldn't speak. I could barely even breathe properly because all I could feel was that exact point on my skin where his lips had touched me.
Warm.
Soft.
Too real.
