-Ryland Grayson:

The ring on my finger caught the firelight when I reached up and started unbuttoning my shirt. Slow. One button at a time. I didn't break eye contact.

"Come here," I said. Not loud. I didn't need to be.

He crossed the room like he was walking toward something he wasn't sure he deserved. The floorboards creaked under his weight. I could smell his arousal when he got close, mixed with the cold air still clinging to his jacket.

I reached up and undid his tie, letting it slide through my fingers before dropping it to the floor.

"All day I've been thinking about this," I told him, my voice low. "Standing at that altar. Watching you smile at me like I was the only person in your world."

"You are," he said, soft and earnest, and I had to kiss him for that.
