-Vaughn Blackmore:
A year ago, if someone had told me that this would become my life, I genuinely would have thought they were insane.
Not because I thought I would never fall in love.
No.
I think a part of me always wanted love, even when I pretended I didn't. Even when I acted like I was more comfortable alone, quieter, away from people and their emotions and expectations.
I just never thought I would find someone like Ryland Grayson.
And I definitely never thought Ryland Grayson would become the center of my entire world.
Yet here I was now, standing in front of the enormous mirror inside the bedroom Julian had practically forced me into this morning while he screamed at multiple people for "ruining the wedding atmosphere."
The room smelled faintly like expensive cologne, fresh flowers, and the ridiculous amount of candles Julian insisted on lighting because apparently "good lighting matters during emotional moments."
I stared at my reflection quietly.
Black suit.
