-Vaughn Blackmore:
My patience snapped.
I yanked my wrist back hard, finally breaking his grip with a sharp pull, stepping away from him immediately as I turned fully to face him for the first time.
The movement echoed slightly in the tiled bathroom, the space suddenly feeling smaller, tighter, like the air itself had shifted between us.
I stared at him, my jaw clenched.
"And what do you have to do with it?" I said coldly, my voice sharper now. "It's none of your business, even if it is. What does this even mean to you anyway?"
The words came out faster than I meant them to, frustration building in my chest in a way I didn't fully understand. I didn't owe him explanations. I didn't owe him anything.
Not after what he did.
Not after how he just stood there as if nothing had happened.
I turned slightly, already deciding I was done with this conversation, ready to walk out of the bathroom and leave him standing there with whatever weird accusation this was.
