Chapter 65 - 064: Goku's Revival

I suspect you are trying to make things difficult for me, Shenron.

Shenron looked down at Gohan, recalling that Gohan had pulled a similar stunt on him last time.

No, absolutely not.

I cannot let him look down on me like this.

Otherwise, what authority will I have in the future?

Shenron hardened his resolve and extracted a thread of the fundamental Life Essence left behind by the Dragon God Zalama, pouring it into an emerald vial.

Having a thread of Life Essence extracted meant Shenron would fall into a year-long slumber.

But it didn't matter; he would disappear and fall asleep anyway after granting the wish.

The timing was perfect.

It was essentially harmless.

He figured it was an investment in his own prestige, so there was absolutely no loss.

A red light flashed in Shenron's eyes.

An emerald vial appeared in Gohan's hand.

Gohan examined the vial carefully and asked, "How do I use this thing?"

But the Shenron in the sky did not answer his question at all.

It suddenly dissipated.

The seven Dragon Balls scattered in all directions, and the sky immediately cleared.

Trunks asked strangely, "Why do I feel like Shenron just ran away?"

"He probably had to pee urgently."

Gohan toyed with the emerald vial in his hand, deciding it would be safer to consult the Elder Kai before using it.

The green, approximately 5 cm long bottle felt cool to the touch.

Even through the barrier of the emerald, he could sense that the bottle was filled with vibrant life energy.

In short, it felt very comfortable to hold.

Gohan tossed it into his dimensional space.

Then, with an Instant Transmission, he headed to King Kai's planet... On King Kai's planet.

Everyone was immersed in the joy of being resurrected.

Goku was no exception; he was happy about everyone else's revival.

Yet, he completely forgot that he himself had not yet been resurrected.

Gohan appeared.

"Dad, you should be able to revive soon too. I'll send them back to Earth first."

"Haha, no rush, I don't mind," Goku chuckled.

After all, over a decade had already passed; waiting another day or two really didn't matter.

"Gohan, can Goku really be revived too?" Chi-Chi quietly asked.

"Don't worry, it won't be a problem." Gohan nodded.

At this point, they could only treat a dead horse as if it were still alive.

If the vial of Life Essence from Shenron didn't work, he could always strike a deal with the Elder Kai.

If their luck was absolutely terrible and the deal fell through, they would just find a way to search for the Super Dragon Balls.

Could a living person actually be choked to death by their own urine?

That wasn't going to happen.

Hearing Gohan's reply, Chi-Chi finally relaxed.

"Hahaha, Goku, we'll be heading off first." Yamcha said seemingly carefree, but secretly wiped away a tear.

"Goodbye, Goku, and goodbye, King Kai."

Everyone bid their farewells.

"Alright, everyone hold hands and grab onto me tightly."

Gohan instructed, then took Chi-Chi's hand.

Chi-Chi held the Ox-King's hand, the Ox-King held Yamcha's hand, Yamcha held Tien's hand, and Chiaotzu rode on Tien's neck.

Tien tried to grab Piccolo's hand, but Piccolo slapped his hand away with a claw.

This drew a round of laughter from everyone.

Tien had no choice but to reach out for Krillin.

Krillin laughed heartily and grabbed Tien's arm.

Piccolo walked behind Gohan and placed a hand on Gohan's shoulder.

"Alright, let's go!"

Gohan smiled, placing two fingers against his forehead.

Successfully sensing Trunks's energy signature, he activated Instant Transmission.

Swoosh!

The group vanished, reappearing the next moment on the lookout platform.

"Wow, this air."

"I haven't breathed this in over a decade."

"This is great, we're really back."

"Earth really is the best."

Trunks stared blankly at the crowd.

Actually, among these people, he only recognized Chi-Chi and the Ox-King; he had only heard about the others from Gohan.

Seeing them all resurrected now felt very surreal.

Nevertheless, he politely stepped forward to greet them.

"Master Yamcha, you really are revived." Puar flew over, eyes brimming with tears.

"Puar..."

The master and his companion embraced.

According to authoritative Dragonologists, the relationship between this master and companion was highly unusual.

Quite intriguing.

Everyone was somewhat shocked to hear that Trunks was the child of Vegeta and Bulma.

However, they quickly recovered, realizing the situation.

This was entirely consistent with Bulma's personality, so there wasn't much to say.

Afterward, Gohan pulled Trunks aside and quietly said:

"Trunks, I suspect your dad has also been revived by the Dragon Balls, but he might not know it yet since he's in Hell. How about you go pick him up?"

"Huh? Me go pick him up?"

"Why not? That's a great opportunity for you and your dad to bond."

Gohan was being sincere.

He completely understood what Trunks was thinking; Trunks just sometimes didn't know how to express it.

Having Trunks pick up Vegeta was the best possible arrangement.

"Alright." Trunks nodded and used Instant Transmission to leave Earth.

"Oh right, and Aunt Bulma." Gohan used Instant Transmission to bring Bulma to the Lookout.

Seeing her revived friends, Bulma's eyes turned red.

This scene felt like a dream.

A dream she had waited over a decade for.

Afterward, Gohan said goodbye to his friends and Instant Transmitted back to King Kai's planet.

"Dad, come on, let's go to the Kaioshin Realm."

"Are we going to eat?"

"No, we're going to find a way to revive you."

Since he couldn't sense the energy signatures of the Kaioshin and the others, Gohan had to take out the communication orb again to contact the Elder Kai, asking Kibito to make a trip.

Soon, Goku and Gohan arrived at the Kaioshin Planet.

Gohan explained the whole situation to the Elder Kai, then took out the emerald vial given by Shenron and handed it over.

The Elder Kai took the emerald vial in surprise, looked at it twice, and exclaimed, "What pure Life Essence! This must be the life energy of some high-level creature, right?"

"I don't know about that," Gohan shook his head repeatedly.

The Elder Kai continued, "Although it's only a pitiful thread, it is Life Essence nonetheless. This thing is like a spark; it might actually be able to revive Goku."

"So how exactly do we use it?" Gohan asked.

The Elder Kai thought for a moment, then handed the emerald vial to Goku. "Drink it."

...

"Okay." Goku took the vial, pulled out the stopper, and drank the contents in one gulp.

He then smacked his lips, looking like he wanted more.

"Dad, how do you feel?"

Several pairs of eyes were fixed on Goku, not blinking once.

Before Goku could answer, a burst of green light erupted from his body, instantly enveloping him completely.

Goku had no choice but to sit cross-legged, closing his eyes to guide the energy.

The surging life energy swept out from within him, causing the surrounding grass to grow wildly and countless flowers to bloom.

Seeing this spectacle, Gohan's eyes lit up, and he secretly thought, It's working.

Sure enough, not long after, the halo above Goku's head dimmed and then vanished.

This meant that Goku had truly been successfully revived.

Goku opened his eyes, looked surprised at the suddenly changed grass and blooming flowers around him, and asked Gohan, "Gohan, I feel so hungry. What happened?"

"Dad, you've been revived! Hahaha."

Gohan stepped forward, grabbed Goku's shoulders, and shook him vigorously.
