Valen walked through the familiar hallway with calm steps. Her strength had improved slightly, though the lingering weakness in her body still made itself known with every movement.
The ache in her muscles had dulled, but it had not disappeared, and the faint dizziness that came and went served as a constant reminder that she was not yet fully recovered.
Her eyes remained fixed ahead as she approached the private chamber where Georgia was resting.
The guards stationed nearby stepped aside immediately when they saw her, "sir Valen."
Valen nodded briefly, "is she awake?"
"Yes," one of them replied, "she has been asking for you."
Valen's expression shifted slightly at that, she reached for the door and pushed it open gently.
The room inside was softly lit, the scent of herbs lingering faintly in the air. Georgia sat upright on the bed, her posture still weak but far better than it had been days ago.
