Chapter 2 - Chapter 1: Hello, World

Legend sat in front of the computer with a Pocky in her mouth, gathering information about the world... Although she had been 'abducted' here, life had to go on.

First, set a small goal: graduate from Tracen, the girl thought expressionlessly. As for going from a regular high school to university, she could forget about that. She only remembered the multiplication table; going there with that level of skill would just be asking for humiliation.

While it was worth being happy about having native-level Japanese skills suddenly downloaded into her brain, that only counted as a life skill. It was better to follow the original owner's plan for now, adapt slowly, and then make further plans.

Fortunately, it seemed she didn't need to worry about financial issues. The girl used her finger to open her phone and checked the bank card balance sent via text message.

Well, it's a number I wouldn't have dared to dream of in my last life, and it seems to be just pocket money? The girl tried to hide her terror with a calm expression.

Suppressing the sense of unreality in her heart, she searched for information online again.

It was already dark outside. After a day of searching, she had roughly understood the current situation.

First was her identity: Legend, seemingly a child from a branch family of a prestigious Uma Musume house. Although she inherited the Gold name, she hadn't engaged in the Uma Musume industry. Her family was wealthy and influential; she had a standard rich young lady setting.

It's just that I feel like there's something wrong with her head. The girl picked up the diary; yeah, she was an improper girl.

Then there was the itinerary. This girl intended to enroll in Tracen and become an Uma Musume?

The girl rubbed her tired eyes, threw herself onto the bed, and stared at the ceiling to organize her thoughts.

To be honest, she had no real sense of what tomorrow or the future would be like.

The past twenty years of her life had thus become a sacrifice for this transmigration. Even if it was a step-by-step, meaningless, and empty life, losing it like this still felt unacceptable.

But, "since I'm already here."

Besides making the best of it, there didn't seem to be any other choice.

Tomorrow, she planned to follow the original owner's plan and enroll in Tracen. Secondly, since she didn't have any goals anyway, following the original trajectory wasn't a bad choice. Could this be considered a choice of fate?

Dazedly, she fell into a dream.

In the dream, she seemed to experience another life. From birth to the present: the first time walking, the first time running, the first time seeing a shining dream, the first time having a dream.

In addition, there were other bits and pieces: that strange yet familiar goofy father taking her to watch Ultraman and Kamen Rider, and that scatterbrained mother who, after cooking, didn't wash her hands and wiped her chili-covered hands on her face.

Fragmented scenes flickered with the light of memories.

Time seemed to be moved by an invisible hand, displaying the girl's past before her, telling of her most precious treasures.

Legend opened her eyes and subconsciously wiped her face; it was covered in tears.

She propped herself up and checked the time: 6:00 AM. The sky outside was just beginning to lighten.

She sat up and once again fell into a daze.

The girl groggily recalled those messy dream shadows.

Those were Legend's childhood and memories.

There wasn't much sadness; what she could recall were all beautiful and ordinary memories that didn't match the name 'Legend' at all, but they were all shining treasures. Vaguely, she could still feel the happiness and warmth of the 'self' in the dream.

The girl sat in silence.

"What a happy and beautiful life!"

There was no confusion or pain, nor was there sadness or misfortune. Perhaps that girl had such experiences, but in these memories, there was none of that dark emotion. That girl had left all the best things for her.

Legend went to the bathroom to wash her face and looked up at herself in the mirror. That girl didn't seem to linger on anything and had calmly accepted everything; the fact that she didn't feel any rejection or discomfort seemed to prove this.

"What a free-spirited person!" But I won't be moved to tears, I really can't bring myself to do that.

I should have said this first, but it's a day late.

She paused, looked at the mirror, and said in her passively mastered Japanese,

"Nice to meet you, Classmate Golden Legend."

I will keep going, for you and for me.

"In your new life, walk on happily," she vaguely heard such a blessing.

Legend smiled gently and paced to the window, leaning against the sill and gazing out at the unfamiliar world. The morning breeze blew across her face, bringing a burst of coolness.

She took a deep breath, as if venting, and as if blessing.

"Hello, world!"

I'm here.
