It was scalding, scorching, and so stifling she could barely breathe!
The woman opened her eyes to find herself in a place akin to Purgatory.
Not far from her feet was the edge of a cliff. Below it, molten lava churned, distorting the very air with its scorching heat.
Farther in the distance, an inverted Black Tower floated bizarrely in the air. Innumerable colossal chains wrapped around the tower, their ends stretching out of sight.
'Where... is this?'
Her ears were filled with a clamor.
There were humans, beasts, and many other strange creatures she couldn't name. They formed a long, winding line, all bustling and shuffling forward.
A slender, brown-haired girl noticed the woman standing motionless and approached her. "What are you doing just standing there?" she asked. "Hurry and catch up! If they find you slacking off, you're in for a punishment!"
"Go?" The woman asked, bewildered. "Where are we going?"
