Half a month later, Little Rose sent word with good news: the egg Little Yu'er had picked up had hatched.
It was a... little monkey?
A monkey hatching from an egg was a little strange, but considering this was the Profound Beast World, it wasn't all that surprising.
The Little Golden Monkey was only a foot long, covered in fluffy, soft, beautiful golden fur. Its tail was so long it could curl up over its head. Its eyes were round, black, and full of playful intelligence. It could even speak. The moment it perched on Little Rose's head, it started calling for its mother.
Little Rose's face turned beet-red, and she stomped her foot. "Ahhh! I'm not your mama! Are your big eyes just for show? I'm still a kid myself! How could I possibly be your mother!"
"You're the one who hatched me. You were the first thing I saw!"
Little Yu'er piped up anxiously, "I'm the one who found you in the Secret Realm and brought you back!"
