Si Ye touched Sang Luo's forehead. She wasn't feverish. He then reached for her nightgown. "Are you not feeling well? Or are you injured?"
"I've been by your side this whole time. How could I have gotten injured?"
Sang Luo blushed and slapped his hand away, then burrowed deep into his warm, solid embrace.
She wrapped her arms around his waist and nuzzled against him, her voice filled with apprehension. "Ah Ye, I went to the North Sea a few days ago to speak with the Old Beast Emperor. He performed a divination for me, and the reading... it was rather ominous."
Sang Luo hadn't originally intended to tell her Beast Husbands about this. After all, Ji Hua himself had said that divinations are inaccurate most of the time, and she didn't want them to exhaust themselves with worry.
But for the past few days, she had been unable to find peace of mind.
She needed to confide in someone.
