An Jin took the celadon cup and took a few light sips. The slightly sweet water moistened her dry lips.
Her gaze shifted downward, and she caught sight of the small fish eggs in the basin. Her fingers froze for a moment.
An Jin was silent for a moment. "So many! Does your Merfolk clan always have this many per birth?" she asked in astonishment.
She roughly estimated that the small basin held at least several hundred fish eggs. If not a thousand, then at least over three hundred.
An Jin's lips formed a small "O." She didn't know whether to marvel at the powerful fertility of the Merfolk, or at the fact that she... she was just that prolific.
