"No! You can't!"
The man roared hysterically. His previously gentle expression twisted into something terrifying, his eyes wild with a surging rage. "You don't love me! You want to run away! I won't let you escape! You can only be mine!"
'Wasn't he supposed to be as docile as a lamb?'
'The System's product description was false advertising.'
Seeing him glaring at her like a madman, his eyes bloodshot and crazed, An Jin braced a hand against the wall and slowly pushed herself to her feet. She didn't insist on going out again.
The silence in the air was terrifying. Chi's ragged, restrained breathing was clearly audible.
After a moment, she pursed her lips and said softly, "I'm hungry. Can you find me something to eat? I won't run away."
Chi's expression gradually relaxed, but he watched her like a viper, as if trying to gauge the sincerity of her words. "You really won't run?"
