"That eagle is powerful and holds a lot of sway in the city. As long as you let him see your beauty, he'll follow you with undying devotion."
As Chi Li tilted his head, the fiery red fox ears on his head twitched slightly.
"I don't like him, I don't want him, and there's no particular reason why." She could barely handle the snake she had at home; if she brought an Eagle Beast into the mix, they'd probably tear the roof off.
Besides, the eagle had kidnapped her like a common bandit. She didn't have a shred of goodwill toward him.
