Kaiser walked with steady steps down the main corridor of the west wing of the Academy. He was thinking back to the exchange he had just had with the vice principal as well as the system's warning.
In the original novel, this character was barely in the background. Kris only spoke to her once or twice at most. She was then killed during the Spectrum attack, swept away along with dozens of others in a chaos that had only served as set dressing for the plot.
Yet during their recent meeting, this woman had stared at him with hostility. Kaiser was trying to understand the origin of this animosity, because he was certain he had committed no act that directly concerned her.
