Jasper Del Luna had eliminated more than a hundred students during the exam. Some had collapsed without understanding what had hit them. Others had been struck while still running, convinced they were out of range. No screams, no prolonged duels. One arrow. Sometimes two. Always in the right spot.
The battlefield was silent.
Kaiser advanced, gaze fixed, Perception Eye activated permanently. Without this ability, he would already be dead. The mana arrows arrived without warning, without any visible trajectory. They seemed to appear directly at head height, chest height, or leg level.
He tilted his torso at the last moment.
An arrow grazed his left shoulder and exploded on impact with the ground behind him. The detonation sent rock fragments flying and a shockwave that forced him to slide several meters. Kaiser planted his foot, activated a brief Aura Repulsion to cancel the momentum, and immediately resumed his advance.
'So you're the one... the blind archer.'
