Jamie's heart practically leapt into his throat.
"Jamie, are you home?" Jace's voice echoed again from outside the door.
Panic hit him like cold water. He turned to Jett so fast he almost got whiplashed.
"Closet." Jamie whispered harshly.
"What?" Jett asked dumbly.
"Get in the closet. Now."
Jett blinked. "Jamie-"
"Now you idiot!" Jamie grabbed his wrist and dragged him across the room. He shoved the closet door open, pushed Jett inside between hanging clothes and shut it before the man could protest.
"Do not make a sound." Jamie warned, already locking it from the outside.
Jett stared at the closed door from inside, stunned.
Jamie ran a hand through his hair, trying to fix it, trying to breathe normally, trying to look like he hadn't just been making out like his life depended on it two seconds ago.
He stepped out of his room and shut the door behind him just as Jace was about to knock again.
