I wanted to die that night, the glittering stars watched me closely as I layed on that ledge, awaiting the breeze to push me further and further away from my footing.
My jagged jeans worn out from the sheer cold hitting my skin, begging for mercy as the fireworks rung out, signaling the new year. I stared aimlessly at the sight, the crowds of people celebrating the joyous of holidays, marking a new beginning.
"A new beginning…" I whisper inside my woollen sweater as I bring myself up and lay my hands across the sky.
I pull my head upwards, allowing my body to succumb to the reality.
But as I was about to fall, a glimmer of light hindered my vision, interrupting me as I open them to see a massive beam of light coming towards me.
Without a second to react, it shoots directly into my hest and draws me backwards, causing me to dall straight on my bottom as I'm startled by the sudden event.
My eyes are bloodshot as I'm wondering how this all came to be, my heart races as I clentch it with uncertainty. My body becoming heavier and heavier before suddenly I hear a crowd of overwhelming screams.
I crawl toward sthe ledge still reeling upon whats happen before suddenly, more beams of light r shot into the crowd with a scatter of people hurrying away in a state of panic.
My eyes widen as my body lays on the floor helpless to the situation as I wonder how everything changed in such a short time.
