The Hook: A vampire that doesn't hunt people, but legacies.
The Premise: Set in the Library of Alexandria just before its fall. There is a creature that survives by consuming the "intent" within written words. When it "feeds" on a scroll, the ink remains, but the knowledge vanishes from the collective memory of humanity.
The Conflict: A scribe notices that his favorite poems are becoming gibberish on the page, and simultaneously, he is forgetting his own mother's name. He realizes he is being hunted by a "Linguistic Vampire." To defeat it, he must write a story so complex and emotionally "poisonous" that it destroys the creature from the inside out when consumed.
