Chapter 158 - Exchanging Evil Pieces

Ajuka drank the tea brewed by Falak, waiting for Abel's decision.

At the same time, he did not forget to size up Abel's Peerage. He was very satisfied with Abel's discerning eye.

When he saw Gabriel, Ajuka nodded towards her.

Abel, who was deep in thought, seemed to have realized something. Devil Peerages can actually be transferred, and the Evil Pieces within one's body can also be switched.

Now, he only needed to remove the Knight pieces from Saeko and Kanae, and replace them with Pawn Pieces. That way, all four could participate in the Rating Game. Moreover, Pawn Pieces could also advance into Knights.

As for why he chose Saeko and Kanae, that was because Erica and Liliana were already very strong and true Knights.

After Abel made up his mind, he reached out to Ajuka, who was drinking tea. "Nii-san, give me two Pawn Pieces."

Upon hearing this, Ajuka put down his teacup and looked at Abel with interest. It seemed he had thought of the Evil Pieces' characteristics.

Ajuka opened his drawer, then rummaged through it, found two Pawn Pieces, and tossed them to Abel.

"Catch them."

Abel caught the Evil Pieces. Then he looked at Saeko and Kanae, next was the Evil Piece replacement.

Just as he was about to begin, Abel thought of something and turned back to Ajuka. "Nii-san, please step out for a moment."

"No problem." Ajuka said, getting up and leaving the room.

After Ajuka left the room, Abel looked at Saeko and Kanae again.

"Next, I will replace your Evil Pieces."

"Yes, come on, Master."

"You may, Master."

Saeko's cheeks were slightly flushed, and Kanae also blushed.

Looking at the two, Abel raised both hands, with demonic power attached to them.

"Expose your chests."

"Mmm."

Both of them, blushing, pulled down their tops, revealing their skin.

Then Abel reached towards their chests. Without any obstruction, his hands entered their chests. Their bodies trembled slightly, and their heartbeats quickened.

Abel felt the Evil Pieces, then took them out. As the Evil Pieces were removed, Kanae and Saeko both slumped slightly onto the sofa. Feeling as if something was missing from their bodies, they panted slightly.

Looking at the Knight Pieces in his hands, Abel put them away, then pressed the Pawn Pieces onto their chests.

As the Evil Pieces adhered to their chests, Saeko and Kanae's bodies trembled again, and a strange flush appeared on their faces.

Their previously empty bodies were filled once more.

A moment later, the Evil Pieces were fully integrated, and the two slowly opened their eyes.

"How do you feel? Is there any discomfort in your body?"

Saeko and Kanae moved their bodies a bit, then put on their jackets.

They briefly checked their bodies. Aside from their speed becoming slower, everything else was normal.

"Besides a slight decrease in speed, everything else is fine."

"Me too."

Hearing their replies, Abel nodded.

Since the Evil Pieces had been replaced, the participants for this Rating Game were now decided.

"Nii-san, you can come in now."

Hearing Abel's words, Ajuka pushed the door open and entered.

Looking at Saeko and Kanae, whose Evil Pieces had been replaced, he nodded, then looked at Abel.

"Done?"

"Yes, done."

Abel stretched and continued, "My participating members are: Queen — Lucretia, Bishops — Asia and Kuroka, Rooks — Mitsuri, Knights — Erica, Liliana, and Pawns — Miko, Hana, Shizuka, Saeko, and Kanae."

Listening to Abel's words, Ajuka nodded, then produced Abel's participant list.

"This way, the lineup is quite good."

Ajuka looked at the list with satisfaction and put it into his drawer.

"Alright, the participating Peerage members will stay. Abel, you can smoothly roll along and come back in two months."

"Huh!?"

Hearing his words, Abel was slightly stunned.

No... he's kicking me out already? And making his Peerage stay?

Ajuka said, "For the next period, they need to continue training. Of course, it's not just them. Rias and Sona, as well as their Peerages, also need to return to the Underworld for training to improve their strength for the Rating Game."

Abel nodded, understanding his elder brother's meaning.

For the Rating Game, huh?

The Rating Game among devils was one of the ways to determine a devil's status. It was also a competition among the younger generation.

"Then what should I do?"

"You? Go do whatever you want. Don't you know your own strength?"

"Alright then." Abel nodded.

He could do many things in these two months. He'd see if he could encounter anything interesting then, and perhaps recruit a few more Peerage members.

Thinking of this, Abel stood up and looked at his Peerage members, a hint of pity in his eyes. After all, his elder brother's training was not something just anyone could endure.

"Everyone, train well. In two months, let's take first place together."

Abel's Peerage members nodded one after another, their eyes revealing determination, and at the same time, some anticipation for the upcoming training.
