Chapter 85 - The Hashira's Unwillingness

Time passed by another day.

The snowstorm continued.

Abel walked on the way to the Ubuyashiki residence, with Erica and Liliana following behind him.

"Your Majesty, as a King, you shouldn't go alone without your subordinates. This makes us very worried. You should trust us, your subjects."

"That's right, as our King, you should bring us along, there's no need to do it yourself."

Erica and Liliana grumbled behind him.

After all, as Erica said, a King needs someone to dispatch. But Abel didn't care about these things.

Are you kidding? Teasing Muzan, such a fun thing, of course, he had to do it alone.

As for the Kamado family...

Early yesterday morning, he sent the family to the town and then returned to the Butterfly Mansion.

However, regarding Nezuko, he left a summon card of his own, though he thought she probably wouldn't need it.

As for the others, the Butterfly sisters had already arrived at the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters.

Asia was at the Butterfly Mansion, taking care of and treating the injured.

Hana and Mitsuri were together.

Miko and Shizuka spent all of yesterday night searching for demons and had quite a few gains.

Walking through the Wisteria Flower Forest, the group quickly arrived at the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters.

Lively sounds came from inside the house.

After all, how could they not be excited that Kanae, who had supposedly died long ago, was alive again?

Abel knocked on the door and soon, the door opened wide.

The one who opened the door was still the same little girl as last time. This time, Abel knew her name—Ubuyashiki Hinaki.

"Abel-sama, father and the Hashira have arrived."

"Mm, thank you for your hard work, Hinaki." Abel said as he walked in.

Erica and Liliana also followed closely behind.

As Abel walked into the courtyard, the sounds quieted down, and everyone's gaze turned to him.

Abel scanned the room. Besides the Butterfly sisters, two Hashira, there were six other familiar individuals.

A man with a robust physique, adorned with dazzling jeweled ornaments on his head, nicknamed the "Flashy Guy" Sound Hashira—Uzui Tengen.

A tall man, dressed in a monk's robe, with hands clasped together, holding a string of prayer beads, blind yet with tear ducts that flowed freely, the "Compassionate" Stone Hashira—Himejima Gyomei.

Standing in the corner, a bit introverted, was the "I'm not disliked" Water Hashira—Tomioka Giyu.

Following closely were the irritable Wind Hashira—Shinazugawa Sanemi, and the sharp-tongued Serpent Hashira—Iguro Obanai.

And finally, the last one, a man with golden hair tipped with red, exceptionally dazzling under the sunlight, with very thick black eyebrows under which were a pair of bright, piercing eyes.

The Flame Hashira—Rengoku Kyojuro.

Everyone looked at the man who had saved the Flower Hashira with some curiosity.

Abel then ignored everyone's gazes and walked towards Kagaya. "Kagaya, how is your body?"

"Thank you for your concern, Lord, thanks to Asia-san, my wounds are much better."

"Lord!?"

Everyone present, except for Kanae and Shinobu, looked at Kagaya in disbelief.

Why would he call him 'Lord'?

Tengen looked incredulous. "Master! This joke is not flashy!"

"Amitabha."

Gyomei clasped his hands, tears uncontrollably flowing, "Master, do you have some unspeakable difficulty?"

Kyojuro crossed his arms and loudly said, "Master! Forgive my rudeness! No one can replace your position in our hearts!"

Obanai and Giyu were also the same. They couldn't understand why Kagaya would call Abel 'Lord'.

Sanemi stood up and walked towards Abel, intending to pull him down. In their eyes, there was only one Lord of the Demon Slayer Corps. That was Kagaya.

"Hey! What did you do to Mas… "

Before he finished speaking, a figure quickly swept past.

Thud!

Sanemi was pressed to the ground by Liliana, unable to move.

Such great strength!

"Do not be rude to our King." Liliana said calmly, pressing Sanemi down.

Sanemi, being pressed down, was surprised by the great strength, but he still resisted with all his might.

Seeing Sanemi pressed to the ground, the others couldn't sit still.

"Hey! You…."

"Uzui-san, don't move around. Even if you were my former colleague, I can't exuse your behaviour."

"That was truly a flashy move, but Insect Hashira, have you betrayed Master?"

Tengen, who had intended to make a move, was held down by Shinobu with one hand.

Shinobu smiled. "I apologize, but we haven't betrayed Master."

Obanai and Giyu were suppressed by Kanae, unable to move their hands.

Gyomei wanted to get up but was held down by Erica's single hand on his shoulder, unable to rise.

Except for Kyojuro, everyone else was suppressed.

"Kagaya, it seems you are much beloved by them."

Facing Abel's words, Kagaya smiled and nodded. "My Lord exaggerates. They are not just swordsmen, but also my children, so please, my Lord, do not blame them."

"No matter, they are just passionate individuals, go on."

At this moment, Kyojuro stepped forward and loudly said, "Master, please forgive our rudeness, we just want to know why you call him Lord!"

Kagaya was helpless. He bowed to Abel, then stood up and came before them.

The Butterfly sisters, Erica, and Liliana released their hands and came to stand behind Abel.

Sanemi wanted to continue his outburst, but seeing Kagaya approach, he quieted down and then respectfully bowed.

"I apologize, my children, this is the future I have seen, a future that can change you and me. Muzan will be annihilated, and there will be no more demons in the future."

Sanemi looked up and said, "Even so, I will not call him Lord."

"That's right."

"Seconded."

Abel listened to their words, smiled, and then stood up and came to Kagaya's side. "I won't be your Lord, I am only Kagaya's Lord..

"As for the content of this meeting, it is that tonight I will lead a team to subjugate Muzan. I wonder if any of you are interested?"
