Chapter 61 - King Of Swords

It was early morning the next day.

Erica had prepared early to go to the Bronze Black Cross to bring her childhood friend Liliana to be the King's vassal and retainer. After all, this could be considered freeing her from a life of suffering.

Having tidied everything, Erica opened the door only to see a blond man and a middle-aged butler standing outside.

Erica was slightly startled, but quickly her eyes widened.

"Eh!? King of Swords!?"

That's right, the person in front of Erica was the Sixth Godslayer, also known as King of Swords, Salvatore Doni.

And the one beside him was his knight, old friend, and butler, Andrea Rivera.

"Hello, is the Seventh Godslayer inside?"

Salvatore Doni said, then simply walked past Erica and went inside, ignoring her.

Looking at his King, who always acted on his own whims, Andrea, standing beside him, felt helpless. Salvatore Doni's mind contained nothing but swordsmanship.

Andrea quickly pulled Salvatore Doni back. Such an uninvited intrusion into another King's residence was quite unfriendly.

"Andrea." Salvatore Doni looked at his knight, who was holding him back, with some displeasure.

Andrea, knowing his King's temperament, felt a bit helpless. However, what he said next instantly quieted Salvatore Doni.

"Your Majesty, you wouldn't want to be unable to fight this King, would you?"

Listening to Andrea's words, Salvatore Doni was convinced. He quickly patted his head and laughed loudly. "Hahaha, Andrea, am I the kind of person who doesn't know manners?"

Andrea didn't say anything, only giving Salvatore Doni a look.

Looking at the two master and servant in front of her, Erica felt a little embarrassed. Although she knew this King was warlike, she didn't expect him to show up today. Abel had only become a Godslayer last night, he was truly quick.

Salvatore Doni, who had been slightly lectured by Andrea, looked at Erica. "Miss, is the Seventh Godslayer in the house?"

"I'm sorry, he is not here."

In response to Salvatore Doni's question, Erica spoke the truth.

"Not here?"

Salvatore Doni was a bit disappointed, but seeing Erica about to leave, he asked, "Then do you know where he is?"

Erica hesitated, wondering whether or not to tell Salvatore Doni where Abel was. If she told him, Abel would inevitably have to fight King of Swords. If she didn't tell him, it wouldn't be quite appropriate.

Perhaps sensing Erica's concerns, Andrea pushed up his glasses and then said, "Miss, we mean no harm. It's just that His Majesty yearns for a sparring match with him, who is also a Godslayer, and it won't cause any serious consequences. If its truly inconvenient to tell us, we will not force you."

Listening to Andrea's words, Erica still hesitated.

Although Abel was very strong, she didn't want to bring trouble to him.

She was about to say something, but with a gentle breeze, Erica instantly changed her mind.

"I can take you to see the King."

As Erica's words came out, Salvatore Doni's eyes lit up, and his face was full of excitement.

"Then we'll trouble you, Miss Erica."

"Mm."

...

It was still the same small island as yesterday.

On a fishing platform.

The wind had already told Abel what had happened with Erica, and he also used the wind to have Erica bring the King of Swords over.

Abel stretched. Looking at his first fishing attempt today, he shouldn't come back empty-handed, right?

Time passed bit by bit.

Abel, sitting steadily on the fishing platform, hadn't caught a single fish yet.

Just then, a gentle breeze blew, bringing news from Erica.

"They should be here."

Abel stretched, then began to transmit his voice. "Kanae, Akeno, please come here."

In a short while, Akeno and Kanae walked over side by side.

"Master, is something the matter?"

"Oh my. Abel, did you need me for something? Or did you miss me?"

Abel looked at the two of them and smiled, "We have guests coming soon. Akeno, please prepare some tea. Kanae, please go to the island entrance to meet Erica, she's bringing the guests."

"Understood, but who is this guest?"

Facing their confusion, Abel smiled. "It's the Sixth Godslayer, King of Swords."

"Godslayer!"

Kanae and Akeno were both startled.

They quickly took action. After all, in a normal setting, Akeno understood what was important.

Akeno prepared tea, while Kanae went to the island entrance.

Likewise, Rias and the others also knew about the Sixth Godslayer's arrival and came to Abel's location, standing behind him. After all, a King must have a King's presence.

Not long after, Kanae saw a yacht approaching. She also saw Erica on the yacht, as well as the two unfamiliar people beside her. The young man among them must be the Sixth Godslayer.

Soon, Erica brought Salvatore Doni and Andrea to the island entrance.

Looking at the two people whose names she didn't know, Kanae bowed. "I am Kanae Kocho, sent by the King to welcome the King of Swords."

Andrea nodded. "Thank you for your trouble, please lead the way."

Kanae nodded and turned to lead the way. Along the way, Salvatore Doni was very excited. If Andrea hadn't held him back for the sake of his King's demeanor, Salvatore Doni would probably have already gone to Abel and issued a challenge.

Soon, they arrived at Abel's location.

Abel was sitting on a fishing platform.

Andrea looked at this young King with some curiosity, and he also saw the girls behind Abel.

'It seems this King is quite romantic.' Andrea thought.

Seeing that the people had arrived, Abel put down his fishing rod and got up to walk towards Salvatore Doni and the others.

Salvatore Doni looked at Abel with fervent eyes. He really wanted to fight him immediately.

Salvatore Doni walked up and greeted Abel, "Hahaha! I am the Sixth Godslayer, King of Swords Salvatore Doni."

Salvatore Doni sized up this new King and continued, "May I know how to address Your Excellency?"

Abel's lips curved upwards. "I am the Seventh Godslayer, Abel Astaroth."

Thus, the Sixth King and the Seventh King officially met.

Salvatore Doni said impatiently, his eyes filled with a longing for battle, "My dear friend, I heard you slew a god yesterday and became a Campione. Today, I've come to spar with you."

"Certainly, but allow me to first fulfill my duties as host, please have some tea." Abel smiled slightly.

Akeno timely brought the tea. Salvatore Doni didn't hesitate and drank it directly.

"Good tea, but I prefer alcohol."

"I'll remember that. Next time you come, I'll have good wine to welcome you."
