Chapter 31 - Gone Without a Trace

Cin's POV

I stepped into Jay's house, heart pounding, calling softly, "Jay? You here?"

No answer.

I ran upstairs, my footsteps echoing.

"Jay… I'm coming in," I said before knocking on her door.

The door creaked open.

Her room… was empty.

Everything was gone—her books, her clothes, even the little notebook she always kept on her bed.

But there was a single envelope, neatly placed on the pillow. My name written in her handwriting.

Hands shaking, I picked it up and tore it open.

"Cin,

I don't know how to say this… I needed to leave. I can't explain everything right now, but please remember…

Every time we laughed, every time we argued, every moment we shared in Section E—I'll never forget them.

I'm sorry for hurting you, for leaving without a word. But I need this. I need to find myself, and I can't do that while I'm here.

Please… don't blame yourselves. I care about everyone too much to let them stop me, but I need to go.

- Jay"

Memories of our laughter, arguments, and stolen moments flooded my mind.

I sank to the floor, clutching the letter.

Tears ran down my face.

She really… left.

I went downstairs, letter still clutched in my hands.

"Kuya… Angelo," I said softly, trying to steady my voice.

"Where… where is she?"

He looked at me, eyes heavy with guilt.

"She's… gone," he said quietly.

My heart skipped a beat.

"She's gone? Gone… where?"

Aries, standing nearby, stiffened.

"Huh? What are you saying? Who's gone?!"

Tita stepped forward, trembling.

"She… she's gone, jay..." she confirmed, eyes watery.

"She left… she had to."

What you mean she have too? Aries snaped.

I sank against the wall, clutching the letter tighter.

The room spun. My stomach dropped.

She's really gone.

I grabbed my phone, hands shaking.

I called Keifer first, then Section E.

"Keifer… Section E… everyone! She's gone! Jay… she left a letter! I don't know where she went!"

Voices answered, panicked, shocked, some crying.

Keifer's voice cut through, sharp and frantic.

"What do you mean gone?! Where is she?!"

"She… she left," I said, holding up her letter.

"I don't know where she went!"

A few minutes later, the front door slammed open.

Keifer stormed inside, eyes blazing, fists trembling.

"WHERE IS SHE?!" he roared, slamming the door behind him.

Vases toppled. Chairs scraped the floor. Pictures nearly fell off the walls.

He spun toward Kuya Angelo and grabbed him by the collar, shaking him slightly.

"Where is she?!" he demanded, voice raw with panic and rage.

Kuya Angelo's eyes met his, calm but guilty.

"I… I don't know…" he said quietly.

Keifer's jaw tightened. What do you mean by you don't know?

He whipped around to me, eyes wild, and snatched Jay's letter from my hands.

"You… you have it!" he growled, crumpling the envelope in his fist.

"I need to know! WHERE IS SHE?!"

He kicked a chair, sending it crashing across the room, knocking over a vase

.

"Rory! Edrik! NOW!" he barked.

"Search everything! EVERYWHERE!"

Rory scrambled, panicked.

"I… I can't find her anywhere!"

Edrik added, shaking his head, "We've checked every place she could be. There's nothing!

Keifer's face twisted with rage and disbelief.

"How is this possible?! She can't just disappear!"

Aries and Kuya Angelo tried to calm him.

"Keifer! Stop! Calm down!" Aries shouted.

"No! I WILL NOT calm down!" Keifer bellowed, slamming his fists on the table.

"She's gone! And no one can tell me where she is?!"

I sank to my knees, holding nothing but the weight of the letter's words in my heart.

The house—normally full of laughter and noise—was silent, broken, and heavy with guilt.

Flashback – How They Covered Her Departure

Lucas, Alen, and Judy had already been working behind the scenes.

Lucas silently ensured that no one could trace her movements. Every security camera, every phone ping, every trace of Jay's location—gone.

Alen quietly secured all travel and financial records, keeping her departure invisible.

Judy monitored airport systems, ensuring no flight or passenger data could be accessed.

She made sure no one could see that Jay had boarded a plane.

Together, they orchestrated everything in silence.

Her leaving was flawless. Hidden. Protected.

At the house

No one in the house—Keifer, Section E, or family—had a clue where she went.

Back in the present, the house was in chaos.

Keifer's shouts echoed through the hall.

Rory and Edrik searched frantically,

every train,every corner—but nothing.

Aries, Kuya Angelo, and Tita watched helplessly.

Section E had gathered downstairs, faces pale, hearts heavy.

The weight of reality hit us all: she had gone, and no one could find her.

I sank to the stairs, letter clutched to my chest.

Tears blurred my vision.

Her words, her memories… everything she left behind.

And I knew, deep down, there was nothing anyone could do to stop what she had decided.

Jay where the hell are you? Please tell me its a joke and you are pranking us😭😭
