Over the next few days.
Rin would run to the Yūhi Family home to ask Seiryū for guidance on Medical Ninjutsu.
Although Seiryū had only learned the Mystical Palm Technique, his foundation in Medical Ninjutsu was quite solid, making it more than enough for him to guide a complete novice like Rin.
"Minato-sensei only gave us five days of rest. We're heading out on a C-rank mission tomorrow. When we get back, can I continue asking you for advice on Medical Ninjutsu?"
Rin looked at Seiryū expectantly, her voice soft.
Today was the last day of the break.
Under Seiryū's guidance over the past few days, her Medical Ninjutsu had made significant progress. She could even revive a fish that had been dead for an hour.
It was also a way to spend more time with Seiryū.
Rin wanted to continue having Seiryū guide her in Medical Ninjutsu.
"Of course, as long as you're free."
Seiryū did not mind.
He did not dislike this cute young girl, Rin.
It was just a small favor anyway.
"Heehee, thank you so much then."
Rin gave a soft smile, looking very happy.
As if remembering something, Rin's cheeks flushed slightly, looking a bit embarrassed. "Right, a delicious noodle shop is opening next month. To thank you for guiding my Medical Ninjutsu training, how about I treat you to ramen then?"
She was someone who believed in repaying kindness.
Since Seiryū was guiding her Medical Ninjutsu training, she naturally wanted to repay him.
"Delicious ramen?"
Hearing this, Seiryū was taken aback and asked curiously, "What's the name of the shop?"
Was Ichiraku Ramen, famous throughout Konoha and unforgettable to many, finally about to open?
Rin tilted her head and replied, "It's called Ichiraku Ramen. There are already flyers out. The owner's skills are great. He used to study at other ramen shops and has now finished his apprenticeship to open his own place."
Seiryū's eyes flickered as he muttered to himself, "Opening next month?"
Dreams are meant to be fulfilled.
Even though Seiryū had now stepped onto the path of a shinobi, his dream of opening a shop still existed.
As a compromise, he would see if he could buy a house next to Ichiraku Ramen.
He did not have time to run a business right now, but buying a piece of prime real estate was not a bad idea.
In his past life, people sought auspicious locations even for burials to benefit future generations.
What was wrong with him buying an auspicious spot as a home base?
Perhaps it could even improve his fortune.
More importantly.
If he remembered correctly, the opening of Ichiraku Ramen was the starting point of the Lost Tower movie.
Seiryū was somewhat interested in the Dragon Vein.
"Mhm."
Rin nodded and said, "It'll be my treat then."
Seiryū nodded with a smile. "Of course, I'd be more than happy to have someone treat me to a meal. But it depends on the timing. We might not even be free on the opening day."
Rin laughed. "As long as you don't mind, any time is fine."
"Alright, it's a deal then."
Seiryū naturally would not mind. Instead, he was curious about the taste of Ichiraku Ramen. He chuckled. "Just the two of us? That sounds like a date, doesn't it?"
At the mention of a date, Rin's face instantly turned bright red. Steam practically seemed to rise from her head.
Her hands flailed in panic, and her eyes darted around, not daring to look Seiryū in the eye. She said shyly, "No, it's not a date. It's just to thank you for guiding my Medical Ninjutsu."
Right.
If it was just the two of them.
Wouldn't that be a date?
This was so embarrassing.
Rin blushed and whispered, "And I also plan to invite Kurenai. She treated me to dango before, so I was going to invite her too."
Seiryū stopped teasing Rin and simply nodded with a smile. "Alright, then the three of us will go together."
Rin still did not dare look directly at Seiryū and gave a small nod. "N No problem."
"Ta da! Chilled watermelon is here!"
Kurenai's cheerful voice drifted in from the kitchen. She held a tray with several large slices of watermelon.
Sitting down on the sofa, she saw Rin's flushed face and tilted her head in confusion. "Eh? Rin, what's wrong? Why is your face so red?"
"Is is it?"
Rin blinked and stammered, "Maybe it's just too hot? It's already July, the hottest time of the year."
"Oh."
Kurenai did not think much of it. The weather was indeed very hot. She picked up a slice of watermelon and handed it to Rin. "Have some watermelon to cool off."
"Thanks."
Rin took the watermelon and nibbled on it.
Kurenai leaned back on the sofa, eating watermelon while the fan above spun slowly, providing a bit of a cool breeze.
She could not help but complain, "If only the living room had air conditioning, it wouldn't be so hot."
She turned to Seiryū. "Seiryū, why don't you pay to install air conditioning?"
Seiryū picked up a piece of watermelon and started munching, glancing sideways at Kurenai. He curled his lip. "Haven't you made money too? Why don't you pay for it?"
Kurenai pouted. "I'm not as rich as you."
"My money doesn't grow on trees. I'm saving it to buy a house next to the ramen shop and open my own store when the time is right."
"You've been saying that for years, but I haven't seen you actually buy anything. You're just stingy."
"That's right, I'm stingy."
"Damn it, you don't care about your cute little sister at all."
Watching their interaction, Rin felt a little bit of envy.
Kurenai was always very special in Seiryū's heart.
The two often bickered.
But their relationship was very harmonious.
More importantly, Seiryū and Kurenai were not blood siblings.
After messing around with Kurenai for a bit, Seiryū suggested to the two girls, "Want to go to the cold drinks shop for a snack?"
"Sure! I heard the dango shop has a new chilled item. I've wanted to go for a while now."
Kurenai immediately raised her hand, but then thought of something and looked at Seiryū. "But can you walk around now?"
Seiryū moved his body and waved it off. "As long as I don't use Ninjutsu, it doesn't really hinder my movement."
He looked at Rin and smiled. "Rin, let's go together. It'll also be to celebrate your progress in Medical Ninjutsu."
Rin blinked, thought for a moment, then nodded. "Then I won't be polite. Thank you, Seiryū."
Kurenai giggled. "No need to be polite with Seiryū. He's just, well, in Seiryū's words, he's a Tycoon. Someone very rich is a Tycoon."
(To be continued.)
