Chapter 1 - God and demon

As the gentle summer breeze blew peacefully and the sun's rays timidly pierced through the clouds, life went on in the town of SpeedWagon. On this mild morning, the town gradually awoke to the gentle cacophony of shops opening, the sound of cars driven by workers rushing to work, and the morning squeaks of public transportation. At this time of year, a most curious sight was unfolding: young people "happily" making their way to school, but then again, that's only because it was the last day of classes.

However, in the gym of Myriad High School, two young students were still working hard under the cheerful gaze of the entire school.

On the left stood a young man over 6 feet tall with an athletic build. Most of the female students in the gym seemed to have come just to see his indescribably beautiful face. His features were so fine and well-defined that he looked like a living sculpture of a god. His silver hair and pale, white skin gave him the air of a being from another world.

His name was Jack, and he was known as the number one student at Myriad High School. He was probably the most talented man that this high school had ever taught.

- Wow, Jack is so handsome!

- I know!

- Too bad he's already in a relationship with Cynthia.

- By the way, what is he doing in the gym so early in the morning?

As these two young high school girls were getting excited with indescribable enthusiasm, a beautiful young woman with a divine appearance, similar to that of a princess, interrupted them.

- It's Shin again, coming to challenge him.

- Lady Cynthia, we apologize for talking about you indiscreetly.

The two high school girls apologized, bowing and trembling before the noble woman with her slightly arrogant air and somewhat contemptuous gaze.

"It's nothing, stand up straight."

As the two young women stood up with a sigh, one of them seemed to realize an important detail in what Cynthia had just said.

"Shin, you mean the one after you in the high school rankings?"

"You mean the famous third-ranked student in our high school? The famous crazy fighter?"

Cynthia looked at them with a somewhat amused expression when she heard this.

"Yes, Shin, the one who hasn't stopped challenging Jack since he arrived at our high school, and since this is the last time he'll have the opportunity to face Jack before the national training camp, he's taking advantage of it."

As Cynthia finished her sentence, her eyes turned to the person standing opposite Jack.

A young man with messy royal blue hair, reddish eyes, ebony skin, and a somewhat insolent air.

Although shorter than the man in front of him, Shin was still tall at 6'1", with a slender build.

The scene seemed straight out of a novel, with a divine, almost hypnotic being on the left and a person who looked like a mad demon on the right.

"Are you ready, Shin?"

"I should be asking you that. Who knows, maybe you'll lose today."

"Let me remind you that right now I have 98 wins and you have 0."

As the two fighters took up their fighting positions, a heavy and unexpected silence filled the room.

Then, to everyone's surprise, Jack was the first to move. In the blink of an eye, he was already in front of Shin, who put up his guard as Jack delivered a powerful kick that literally sent him flying through the air. However, before Shin took off, he had time to throw a jab at his opponent, causing him to retreat slightly.

As Shin was falling back to the ground, Jack wasted no time and followed up by rushing at him to pin him to the ground. As soon as Shin landed, he saw Jack charging at him, so without hesitation, he did the same, surprising Jack, who slowed down. But to his surprise, it was just a feint by Shin, who took advantage of the situation to throw a flurry of punches as soon as Jack was within range.

Jack, because of his run, didn't have time to put up his guard or stop, but he was still able to protect his vital parts.

"Looks like you've improved, Shin, but it's not enough!"

As Jack finished his sentence, a greenish light seemed to gradually permeate his body. Suddenly, he grabbed Shin's fist and threw him to the ground in one swift motion.

Shin got up immediately, but Jack's fist was already in front of his eyes, and then a bluish light permeated Shin's body as he blocked the blow with a headbutt.

- Damn... This martial art is really powerful.

he complained as his nose began to bleed. The crowd went wild, with most of them cheering Jack on in a frenzy.

He complained as his nose began to bleed, the crowd went wild, and most of them cheered Jack on in a frenzy.

"Wow, no matter how many times I see him, he's really talented,"

said Cynthia with a warm look that contrasted with her aloof demeanor.

"That's the principal's martial art, right? The art of the mountain tiger!

I heard that the principal only teaches it to the best student in the high school and only if the principal thinks they're talented enough!

While everyone was raving about Jack's incredible talent and his high-level martial art, one of them noticed something unusual.

"Wait, isn't that the perpetual cycle martial art that Shin uses?"

"Isn't that the basic art that everyone gives up after middle school?"

"Then why is he using it?"

While everyone was in shock, Shin wiped the blood from his nose and took up a defensive stance, as did Jack.

The gym fell silent once again, not because the fight had resumed, but because of what Jack was about to do.

He was going to perform one of the techniques of the mountain tiger, the king of the mountain.

A kind of translucent energy built up in Jack's fist as he got into position, but Shin wasn't going to wait for him to finish. In an instant, he appeared in front of his opponent, ready to tackle him to the ground, but Jack had calculated all this and jumped over his opponent with a leap of more than 2 meters.

Shin was doomed. Because of his speed, he couldn't stop or change course, and Jack was ready to execute his technique.

Jack moved with incredible speed and unnamed power, but Shin wasn't going to let himself be beaten. He redirected his speed to use it to counter Jack's blow.

Shin began to glow with a stronger light and countered Jack.

As the ground shook from the impact of their confrontation, silence fell once again in the room, but this time for a different reason: they were waiting to see who would emerge victorious from this fight.

As the dust settled, a figure emerged. It was Jack, standing proudly with a few minor injuries, while Shin lay on the ground with his arm covered in blood.

At the end of this battle, the winner was the last man standing, adored by all, while the loser lay pitifully as usual, his defeat count now at 99. That loser is me, Shin, a man who dreams of reshaping the world, but it's not looking good.
