Chapter 107 - "65 Million Reasons to Run, and One Kebab Skewer

In the Ashford Duchy...

Jin was suffering from some wounds, walking through the forest.

Jin: "These investigators... they haven't stopped trying to capture me at all. It's a good thing I managed to escape without killing them."

"Damn it, what should I do..."

Jin stopped for a moment; it seemed that an idea had crossed his mind.

In the capital of the Archduchy of Verosia... the lands of the Verosia family, the strongest family on the continent of Asterion.

Near the Central Market in the capital, Lucian and the young man with the blindfold stood.

Lucian: "Why do you leave your hair messy like that, Volt? And why is it short anyway? Don't you want to imitate normal wizards in anything?"

Volt put his hands in his pockets and walked with a slouch, speaking with boredom.

Volt: "Haaa? Why should I act like normal wizards? They are boring. Have you heard of a manga character called [Gojo]?"

Lucian: "You are so trivial that you read manga from Planet Earth. Leave that aside, why did we come here?"

Volt stopped and looked at him, then spoke with extreme seriousness.

"Lucian, in this market, we will find clues regarding that person named Jin."

Lucian looked at him with a gaze full of doubt, but he entered with him.

After a while...

The two young men were wandering through the market. The place was beautiful, with many restaurants and shops, and the architecture had become a dazzling mix of modern and Victorian styles. But...

Lucian was looking with disgust.

Lucian: "Volt... what are you doing?"

Volt was standing at a food stall, eating kebab skewers.

Volt replied with his mouth full of food: "Huh? What? I'm eating, take one."

Lucian took the skewer and started eating.

Lucian: "Don't you feel that we have more important things to do than hanging out now?"

Volt: "What? Man, we aren't hanging out, we are searching for clues. This is important."

They wandered a bit more; Volt stopped for a while at another food stall, stopped at a game stall, stopped at a small gambling stall, and stood at a clothing store for an entire hour.

Lucian gritted his teeth, and the veins in his face bulged as he spoke to the trivial person beside him.

Lucian: "You damn brat, why don't you stop this nonsense?"

Volt replied as if he were being asked about his age, for example.

Volt: "That's impolite, Lulu. This isn't nonsense, this is a search for clues! Tsk tsk, you don't realize the value of this research."

Lucian gritted his teeth, almost exploding with anger.

"You bastard, stop fooling around, let's go."

Before Volt could speak, he had seen someone behind Lucian and dashed to attack him quickly.

Lucian looked back quickly and shouted: "Stop, you idiot!"

After moments... the person who was attacked was trembling, but...

His face looked about seventeen years old; he had black hair and red eyes. He looked like... Jin?

Volt: "Who is this rogue? Isn't he the one in the picture?"

Lucian sighed, looking at Volt with pity: "You reckless fool, it's not him. His name is Marco."

Marco spoke nervously: "Isn't this silver-haired one Volt Verosia?"

Lucian: "Yes, it's the mentally disabled himself. Never mind him, why are you here?"

Marco: "I've been in the city for a few days, but I'm struggling to walk. And who is this person in the picture? I was almost killed because of this resemblance."

Lucian fell silent for moments; there was a hint of suspicion on his face, but he kept something important in his mind.

Volt: "Tsk tsk, you guys are boring."

In the underground floor of the palace in the Holy Kingdom.

The place was massive; it looked like an underground palace rather than just a basement or a ground floor.

In the center of the place, there was a built portal, and around it were about ten people. Two of them were pouring mana stones into a pit connected to the portal; it looked like a coal engine underground.

They closed the door of this engine, and the other eight stood around the eight pillars surrounding the portal. The pillars were about 160 centimeters tall.

The pillars glowed, and light shone from the door of the engine pit. A giant magic circle drawn on the floor of the place began to light up as well. Beside the portal, one of the wizards stood before a ninth pillar.

But it was different; it was full of strange and connected magical engravings, and at its top, there was a modern screen! It looked like a Queue Management System in telecommunications companies!

Commander Kalyon stood before the portal. He was wearing light armor on his chest, forearms, and legs, and over them a black woolen cloak. The sleeves of the cloak fluttered with his steps, and on his back, he carried a magnificent silver sword in its scabbard. This was the same sword Jin had seen in his dream previously!

Before entering the portal, he spoke calmly to the wizards operating it.

"I will be gone for a while. Tell the King not to worry, it's nothing serious."

The Golden Lion entered the portal. After a while, the teleportation portal opened in the unknown north of the continent. Kalyon stepped out and walked calmly.

He walked for some time, he walked long, until the terrain of the place began to change.

The snowy plain and beautiful hills began to disappear. The white fog began to turn purple with a disgusting shade, unlike the dazzling colors of darkness.

The ground became grassy with a color between that disgusting shade and black. Many plateaus and small mountains appeared; they all had marks and giant cracks on them, as if a giant sword had carved them.

Kalyon moved forward, and the size of the terrain increased, and with it, the size of the cracks!

This is a place that does not even exist on the continent of Astariun!

Thousands of monster corpses appeared, their sizes increasing. The regular monsters became giant, thousands of giant demonic monster corpses everywhere as far as the eye could see. The area was so vast its end couldn't be seen, yet monster corpses were everywhere. Some demonic monsters reached 60 meters in length!!!

He stood before a mountain of corpses. He looked for a moment and was about to wave his hand.

But on the other side of the mountain, there was a massive man who waved his hand quickly.

The corpses were shredded and flew everywhere, and a clean path opened before Kalyon.

It was as if a supernatural sword had cleared the way, not a wave of the hand.

Kalyon moved forward, looking at the back of the man in front of him. This was the same person from the end of the first season.

His height, which exceeded two meters, his short black hair mixed with grey, and his luxury woolen cloak.

The man did not look back and did not show his face. He spoke calmly; his voice, despite its calmness, was heavy and majestic.

"So... after all these years, you meet me while carrying your sword?"

Distress appeared on Kalyon's face, but it wasn't because of that man.

Kalyon: "I think you know what is happening in the Empire right now. It didn't take more than a week to spread like this."

The man: "It seems I still misunderstand you sometimes, Kalyon."

"It doesn't matter... let the matter proceed freely as the Constellation requested from the Saint of the Temple."

Kalyon looked for a moment, but no surprise or wonder appeared on his face at these words!

Kalyon smiled as he asked him: "So you knew about this too?"

The man: "That's obvious. And now, let's sit for a while, for we haven't met in years."

End of the chapter.
