Izuku and Ruka got the okay from Mandalay to go find Kota and bring him back to camp safely. They rushed to Kota's hideout because that's most likely where he was. When they got there, the villain Muscular was there about to kill Kota with his massive fist, reinforcing his arms with his muscle fibers. Izuku sprung into action and grabbed Kota and whisked him out of the way just in time, but the landing ended up breaking his phone. Ruka had left her phone back at the camp lodge in the girls' room. So they had no way of contacting anyone for backup.
"What are you doing?" Kota asked Izuku, but before he or Ruka could answer him, Muscular spoke.
"Huh, now you two I recognize, you guys were on the list." Muscular said and started approaching the three of them. Izuku and Ruka stood defensively in front of Kota.
"Hey, I promise everything will be okay. We're going to save you Kota." Izuku said as teal lightning sparked around his body. Ruka transformed into her partial dragon form, sprouting royal blue dragon wings and tail, her arms became covered in royal blue scales, and her nails elongated into sharp dragon claws. Muscular laughed menacingly.
"You really think you can save this little brat? That does sound like something a wannabe hero would say. Your kind sure likes to mouth off about justice. The names are Midoriya and Ryuutou, right? Perfect. We were told to take some initiative and kill you guys. But first, a little torment. Show me your blood!" Muscular said as he reinforced his arms with his muscle fibers again and charged with incredible speed. He punched Izuku first who instinctively blocked the blow with his left arm, messing it up pretty bad as he was sent flying into the side of the cliff. Then he used his left fist to punch Ruka who crossed her dragon arms in front of her to block his attack, but the impact still threw her against the cliff as well. Muscular's knuckles on his left hand were broken from hitting her scales which were strong enough to resist bullets.
"Whoopsie. Oh yeah. Hey, maybe you guys can help me out a little bit first. Do you know where a kid named Bakugo might be around here? I still have a job to do after all!" Muscular said as he lunged again, both Ruka and Izuku managed to dodge his attack this time. The two of them wondering why the villains would be after Bakugo.
"I take your silence to mean you two don't know. Is that right? Oh good then. Play time!" Muscular said as he kicked Izuku who got sent back into Ruka and they both crashed into the mountainside. The two of them fell to the ground next to each other, blood was dripping from the top of Izuku's head. Ruka had covered her entire body with scales at this point so she wasn't bleeding, but she got the wind knocked out of her and she was a bit dazed from a minor concussion. Muscular laughed maniacally.
"Yes! Blood is exactly what I wanted from you! What did you promise? That everything would be okay? How's that working out for you, huh? Don't just lay there stupids!" Muscular said as Izuku and Ruka struggled to get up. Izuku got up first and powered up for an attack.
"Smash!" Izuku yelled as he threw a powerful punch at Muscular who blocked it with his massive arm.
"What? Is that all you've got? You're fast but you're not strong enough to hurt me." Muscular said as he swatted Izuku, sending him flying back and rolling on the ground.
"My quirk increases my speed and strength so exponentially that my muscle fibers can't even be contained by my skin. I know I'm bragging a bit, but I mean come on. I guess what I'm trying to say is... you're just an inferior version of me!" Muscular said as he lunged again at Izuku who dodged.
"I can't help but laugh at you kid. You really think you're a hero, don't you? How are you going to save him, huh? Don't make promises you can't keep! Live up to your words or they don't mean anything! You're no hero, you're just a fraud and you'll die that way!" Muscular said as he continued to beat up Izuku, seemingly forgetting about Kota and Ruka until Kota threw a rock at him. He asked him if he tormented his mother and father like this too before he killed them. Muscular answered Kota saying he just wanted to kill people and that Water Hose, Kota's parents, got in his way. Kota then said that nothing was right in the world because of crazy people like Muscular who said little kids were quick to blame everything on someone else. Then he said the real problem was people promising to do things they aren't able to do, saying that's why Kota's parents died while getting ready to kill Kota. Izuku immediately jumped into action and yelled at Muscular for ruining Kota's life and said that a hero's job is to risk their life to turn their promise into a reality. He powered up One For All as he wound back his fist for an attack. Muscular did the same. At this point, Ruka had gotten out of her daze and dashed over to him and grabbed onto his arm, sinking her claws into his muscle fibers and using her enhanced strength to pull back on his arm so that his punch wouldn't reach Izuku before he landed his attack.
"One For All 100% Smash!" Izuku said as he released a powerful punch, much stronger than the one he did previously. The impact sent Muscular flying into the mountainside and blew Kota over the edge of the cliff. Ruka dove after him and caught him just in time, flying him back onto solid ground next to Izuku. His right arm was badly injured from the recoil of One For All. Unfortunately, Muscular had used his muscle fibers to cushion the impact. He then told Izuku and Ruka that he was going to get serious now. Ruka quickly grabbed Kota and took off with him and Izuku followed right behind them as Muscular charged at them again. As they were in midair, Muscular lunged at them, nearly missing them and getting his fist stuck in the cliffside. The shockwave sent Izuku, Ruka, and Kota off course and they landed hard on the ground. Izuku's mind was racing on finding potential solutions to the situation they were in.
"Ruka, you take Kota to safety while I take care of this guy." Izuku said as Ruka looked at him like he was crazy.
"I am not going to abandon you! You saw how he took your punch! He'll kill you and I don't want to lose you!" Ruka protested.
"Ruka please. Go and take Kota. You can summon your dragon spirit to assist me." Izuku said as Ruka sighed.
"Okay fine. Dragon Soul: Spirit Summon!" Ruka said as the huge blue spectral dragon with red glowing eyes manifested from her chest like a genie from a magic lamp.
"Don't die on me. Good luck." Ruka said as she gave Izuku a quick kiss on the lips. Just then, Muscular freed himself and the dragon spirit attacked him. The two of them became locked in combat until Muscular lifted the dragon spirit into the air and slammed it into the ground, the dragon let out a groan. Muscular lunged at Izuku who released another 100% Detroit Smash. Muscular was unfazed by his attack and began pushing him into the ground crushing him. The dragon spirit got back up and clawed at the large ball of muscle fibers, but more fibers just kept replacing the severed ones.
"Come on let's go." Ruka said to Kota who refused to go with her.
"We can't just leave him!" Kota said with tears in his eyes. Ruka's eyes began to water as well.
"I know, I don't want to leave him behind either. But we have to have faith in him and go right now." Ruka said as she reached out to Kota but he pushed her away and ran towards Muscular and Izuku and blasted Muscular with water from his hands just as Izuku's teal lightning was dying out.
"Stop! Let him go!" Kota screamed at Muscular which lit a fire in Izuku. Together, Izuku and Ruka's dragon spirit managed to lift Muscular up off the ground. Izuku powered up for one final attack.
"One For All: 1,000,000% Delaware Detroit Smash!" Izuku shouted as he drew his right fist back and threw the extremely powerful punch into Muscular's face, the impact sent him flying into the cliffside which knocked him out. Now that Muscular was down for the count, Ruka helped support Izuku as the three of them headed back to camp.
