The metal panel emitted a mechanical hum and displayed the glowing golden letters:

Naruto Uzumaki (Konohagakure) vs. Asper Dokuhebi (Sunagakure).

On Konohagakure's balcony, Naruto clenched his fists and adjusted the forehead protector on his forehead. A confident and defiant grin spread across his face as he looked down into the arena.

"Finally my turn!" Naruto exclaimed, vaulting over the stone railing to drop effortlessly down to the center of the arena floor.

"I was starting to get bored just watching!"

On the opposite side, his opponent's entrance was neither quiet nor solitary. A heavy clatter and the scraping of thick scales against stone announced Asper's arrival.

Walking beside him was an impressive creature: a Komodo dragon nearly three meters long, with rough, golden-toned scales and unblinking orange eyes that scanned everything around them. From the corners of its jaws, a viscous, purple, smoking fluid dripped constantly, lightly corroding the stone whenever it touched the ground.

Asper walked forward until he stood alongside his companion, observing Naruto with a calculating gaze.

Above, on the Kazekage's balcony, Daigo observed the scene with his arms crossed over his chest. The Dokuhebi clan was one of the clans he had been working to revive. The synergy between the ninja and his beast relied not merely on brute force, but on creating a biologically hostile environment from which almost no opponent could emerge alive.

In the section reserved for the Leaf delegation, Kakashi Hatake narrowed his single visible eye, analyzing Asper's stance and the creature guarding him. The danger was obvious: facing a toxin user in an enclosed space was a nightmare scenario for any fighter reliant on direct combat.

Sasuke, recovering from his fight, watched with interest the battle his teammate was about to have. For the audience in the stands, the sight of Karos standing tall on all four legs imparted an oppressive pressure; this was no simple support summon, but a true biological tank engineered to wear down an enemy until stripping them of every last breath.

Below, Malenia walked between both combatants, feeling the dense atmosphere of danger emanating from the reptile.

"Seventh match!" Malenia announced, raising her arm.

"Naruto Uzumaki versus Asper Dokuhebi!"

The examiner locked her eyes on both fighters and brought her hand down in a sharp, clean slice.

"BEGIN!"

"Let's show 'em what we're made of!" Naruto shouted, crossing his fingers into the sign of his signature technique.

"Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!"

With a series of white smoke explosions, a dozen shadow clones appeared in a fan formation around the original Naruto. Without hesitating for a second, the twelve clones charged forward in a massive frontal assault, seeking to overwhelm Asper through speed and numbers to close the distance for Taijutsu.

"Foolish," Asper muttered.

Karos the Komodo dragon opened his jaws and expelled a violent wave of toxic mist and acidic saliva all around him. At the exact same moment, Asper executed a swift sequence of hand seals.

"Katon: Doku-Honō! (Fire Release: Violet Flames)"

Asper exhalations launched a dense stream of fire directly into the mist his companion had projected. Upon making contact with the reptile's organic fluid and neurotoxic toxins, the flames underwent a violent chemical reaction, transforming into a deep, malevolent shade of violet.

The inferno of violet flames swept across half the arena in a matter of milliseconds. Naruto's twelve clones were caught in the wave of heat and toxic smoke, vanishing instantly in puffs of smoke.

The real Naruto, trailing a few meters behind, reacted on instinct and performed an acrobatic backflip to dodge the surging flames. However, upon landing, a small whiff of that violet smoke drifted toward his face.

The moment Naruto inhaled a fraction of that smoke, he felt as if a thousand red-hot needles were piercing his throat. His vision blurred for a second, a sudden dizziness made him lose his balance, and a sharp, stabbing pain began spreading through his lungs.

"Uggh!" Naruto coughed, clutching his chest as he took several unsteady steps backward.

"That smoke... isn't just normal fire! It's like burning me from the inside!"

In the upper balconies, the spectators watched in awe at the unnatural color of the fire and its devastating effect on the terrain. The stone where the violet flames burned was not merely heating up, but slowly corroding, releasing poisonous vapors that began filling the enclosed arena space.

"My partner's toxins evaporate with the fire, creating a neurotoxic and corrosive compound," Asper explained calmly, while his dragon positioned itself in front of him like an impenetrable wall.

"Every second you spend inside this arena, you'll be breathing the poison. Your muscles will stop responding, your vision will go dark, and your heart will stop. There is no escape."

"Oh yeah? Well, I'm not gonna just stand here and wait for that to happen!" Naruto retorted, gritting his teeth and summoning all his willpower to force himself upright.

Naruto crossed his fingers once again.

"Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!"

This time, white smoke blanketed almost the entire rear section of the arena. More than thirty shadow clones surged out from the haze. Naruto knew he couldn't attack in a straight line, so he split his forces: ten clones charged along the left wall running across the stone, ten more along the right wall, and the rest struck down the center in a pincer formation.

"Useless. Numbers do not change the nature of this battle," Asper declared.

The Komodo dragon swept its heavy tail across the floor, kicking up a wave of debris as it roared again, unleashing another tide of viscous poison. Asper ignited the mixture once more, raising a circular wall of violet flames that expanded in every direction.

The clones running along the walls were caught in the heatwaves and airborne toxins, evaporating one after another in bursts of smoke.

Those down the middle attempted to leap over the blaze, but the Komodo dragon struck with astonishing speed for its size, tearing through three clones with a single swipe of its claws and using its powerful jaws to crush two more.

The poisonous smoke grew thicker with every attack. The real Naruto, concealed within the smoke of the fallen clones, began feeling the severe effects of the poison. His legs felt heavy as lead, his breathing turned harsh and shallow, and cold sweat dripped down his forehead.

Every destroyed clone fed back into the original Naruto's mind with the sensory memory of its destruction. He felt the accumulated suffocation and choking threaten to shatter his composure.

His chest burned as though he had swallowed hot coals, and his pulse hammered frantically in his ears. Yet rather than giving in to collapse, that sensory onslaught confirmed the true geometry of the danger: the poison wasn't invincible; it simply required an even greater level of tactical saturation.

"Damn it... my body isn't responding right... The poison is slowing me down too much," Naruto thought, resting a knee on the floor as he fought to remain conscious.

"If I keep fighting like this, I'll pass out before I can land a clean hit."

"It's over, blonde," Asper said, advancing slowly with his dragon by his side.

"Your endurance is admirable. You no longer have the agility to dodge our next attack."

Asper and the dragon began gathering chakra once more, preparing a massive wave of violet flames to sweep across the rest of the arena and end the match.

Deep within him, Naruto felt the poison trying to shut down his chakra pathways. Yet in that moment of crisis, his clan's immense natural reserves and an instinctive survival reaction caused a surge of warm, dense chakra to begin welling up from his abdomen.

The massive chakra inside him began actively fighting the toxins in his bloodstream, granting him a second wind, even though the physical pain remained excruciating.

"I'm not losing here... I have to break their combination!" Naruto analyzed, his eyes locked on the synchronization between the ninja and the reptile.

"The dragon provides the poison, and Asper provides the spark. If I can separate them or break their line of sight for just one second, I can break that flame attack."

Naruto forced himself up with brutal effort, a look of fire and determination burning in his eyes that took Asper by surprise.

"I'm not done yet!" Naruto roared.

"Tajū Kage Bunshin no Jutsu! (Multi Shadow Clone Technique)"

The entire arena flooded with a thick sea of white smoke. This time, over fifty shadow clones materialized, filling every square meter of the underground arena. The tide of Narutos was so massive that it completely encircled Asper and his Komodo dragon in a claustrophobic ring.

"How does he still have this much chakra after breathing in all that poison?!" Asper asked himself in disbelief at the sheer volume of chakra Naruto was displaying.

"All at once! Attack!" the original Naruto ordered from somewhere within the crowd.

The fifty clones rushed forward in a human wave. Asper and his dragon spun on their axis, unleashing violet blazes and desperate claw swipes. Clone after clone vanished in explosions of smoke and fire, but for every ten clones consumed by the violet flames, five more pressed forward fearlessly, using their own bodies as human shields to protect the clones behind them.

Naruto's strategy was brutal but effective: he was using the physical mass of his clones to absorb the violet flames and temporarily smother the spread of the smoke in a specific location.

Two of Naruto's clones threw themselves directly onto the Komodo dragon's jaws, holding them shut with all their strength. Though the heat of the violet flames destroyed the clones in seconds, the time bought allowed four other clones to drive kunai into the reptile's limbs, pinning it momentarily to the stone floor.

Karos let out a low rumble and thrashed his torso violently, tearing two of the trapped clones against the scales of his hind legs. The purple fluid erupted with greater pressure from his jaws, threatening to douse the relentless tide of replicas. Yet the persistence of the clones was relentless: three more threw themselves onto the beast's heavy tail, using the dead weight of their bodies to anchor it against the cracks in the stone and prevent it from spinning freely again.

"Karos, don't let them grab you!" Asper yelled, attempting to form a hand seal to release a fire jutsu around himself.

However, before he could finish the sequence, three of Naruto's clones emerged from the smoke along the rear wall, leaping straight onto Asper's back and locking his arms in a submission hold.

"Gotcha!" the clones shouted.

Asper struggled fiercely, focusing his chakra he open his mouth and burn the clones holding him. Naruto's clones screamed in pain as they were consumed by the heat, but held their grip just long enough to fulfill their purpose.

"ASPER!" the real Naruto's voice echoed from above.

Taking advantage of the massive cover provided by his clones and the sacrifice of his copies, the real Naruto had launched himself off the shoulders of two clones, soaring several meters above the cloud of smoke and poison.

In his right hand, a swirling, spherical vortex of blue chakra spun at deafening speed, dispersing the toxic air around it with its pure rotation.

"RASENGAN!"

Asper looked up in horror as Naruto descended upon him like a comet. Karos attempted to break free to protect his partner, but the weight of the remaining clones held him pinned down.

With no time to dodge, Asper crossed his arms, trying to channel chakra into them to survive the strike.

BOOOOOOOOOOM!

Naruto's Rasengan collided full force against Asper's guard and chest.

The impact pulverized the stone floor beneath them, carving out a crater several meters wide. Asper was slammed into the rock before being launched violently backward, rolling lifelessly across the ground until coming to rest flat on his back, completely unconscious, with his tactical vest shredded and severe internal injuries assured.

Karos the Komodo dragon, feeling his partner's defeat and the fading of his chakra, emitted a low growl of pain and collapsed, entirely spent.

All remaining shadow clones vanished simultaneously.

In the center of the crater, Naruto remained on his knees, supporting himself with both hands on the ground. His outfit was severely charred at the shoulders and chest from contact with the violet flames, and his skin bore second-degree burn marks. He breathed with extreme difficulty, coughing violently as thin trails of blood and residual toxin dripped from his mouth.

The poison had wreaked havoc on his body, yet he remained upright, refusing to collapse.

From the shadows of the balconies, observers from various nations remained in a heavy silence before reacting. Watching a genin absorb such a volume of toxic punishment and chemical burns, only to execute an attack of such magnitude, completely overturned tactical evaluations. Daigo bowed his head slightly, acknowledging the boy's incredible vitality, while on the faces of the remaining genin, a clear certainty took root: Naruto was not an opponent who could be defeated simply by wearing down his body.

Malenia walked to the edge of the crater, assessed Asper's unconscious state, and then looked at Naruto, recognizing the young Konoha ninja's extraordinary physical resilience and tenacity.

Malenia raised her arm high in victory toward the crowd.

"Combatant Asper Dokuhebi is unable to continue!" the examiner announced in a clear, ringing voice.

"The winner of the seventh match is Naruto Uzumaki!"

Naruto stood up awkwardly, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. He offered a small, proud smile toward his village's balcony before walking slowly toward the infirmary, making it clear that the Dokuhebi clan was formidable, but the will of Konoha would not bend easily.

Especially not in front of Naruto, who would never stop fighting until he won the exam.
