The mist on the coast of the Land of Tea offered little visibility, reduced to a mere three meters, forcing one's senses to sharpen to their absolute limit.

The roar of the raging ocean crashing against the basalt cliffs provided the only rhythm in that deathly silence.

Daigo came to a dead halt, raising a gloved hand. Behind him, Kanzaki's elite squad froze in unison, shadows camouflaged within the haze.

The young Kazekage closed his eyes for a second, allowing his Seismic Senseto expand through the rock formations. The earth did not lie: the vibrations of cautious footsteps and racing hearts sent back a map of latent hostility.

"Listen closely," Daigo whispered, his voice low but cutting through the air like a scalpel. "From this point on, the risk multiplies. Only Pakura, Kaito, and I will proceed. The rest of the squad, stay in standby position five hundred meters back. If the sky turns pink from my crystal or if you feel the earth roar beneath your feet, move in with the intent to leave no one standing. I don't want heroes; I want executioners."

Kaito, a Jonin whose reputation in Suna had been forged in the border wars, nodded with grim seriousness. His arms, covered in burn scars, tensed as he adjusted his tactical gear. Pakura, for her part, needed no words; she simply took her place at Daigo's side.

The three advanced toward the exact meeting point: a natural stone platform overlooking the void of the sea. There, like a statue of ice, waited Mangetsu Hōzuki.

The new Mizukage had not come alone. To his right, Ameyuri Ringo toyed with her twin blades, Kiba, their electrical sparks hissing upon contact with the mist.

To his left, a ninja with features disturbingly reminiscent of a shark and bluish skin stood guard, one hand resting on a katana.

However, Daigo's focus shifted to the figure lying on the ground, bound with iron chains and seals covering his eyes, mouth, and joints. It was the ninja from Takigakure, the host of the Seven-Tails.

"You're late, Kazekage," Mangetsu said, breaking the silence. His voice was liquid, devoid of human warmth.

"I thought a man with your ambitions would be more punctual when it comes to claiming the power of a Bijuu."

"Punctuality is a luxury one affords when they trust their counterpart, Mangetsu," Daigo replied, stopping ten paces from the Mist delegation.

"I've come for what we agreed upon. But before I move a single finger, I want to verify the Jinchuriki."

Mangetsu made a lazy gesture with his hand. Daigo walked forward alone, keeping his guard high. Kneeling before the Taki ninja, he placed a hand on the prisoner's chest.

Instantly, a wave of massive, hot, and vibrant chakra like the humming of a thousand insects hit his senses. It was real. The Seven-Tails was there, restless behind the bars of its seal.

However, as he crouched, he tapped his foot softly against the ground, activating his Seismic Sense. Beneath the rocks, hidden in the cliff cavities and submerged in the salt water hitting the base of the platform, he detected chakra signatures. It wasn't two or three. It was twenty-five elite ninjas, holding their breath, waiting for an order.

Daigo hid his discovery behind a mask of absolute impassivity. He stood up calmly and returned to Pakura and Kaito.

"It is the true Jinchuriki," Daigo announced. He reached into the folds of his Kage robes and pulled out a high-quality sealing scroll. With a burst of white smoke, two blocks of dense, translucent pink crystal appeared on the ground. Inside, the silhouettes of Samehada and Kabutowari glowed with a dull light.

Mangetsu's eyes gleamed with a greed he couldn't hide. The Mist needed those swords to recover its soul. But, as Todo-sensei had warned, desperation does not breed honor.

"Take them out," Mangetsu ordered. "I won't accept weapons encased in your crystal."

"I'll take them out once the Jinchuriki is in Kaito's hands and Pakura has verified there's nothing strange about him," Daigo replied with a voice of steel.

"That's not how this works, Daigo. You return the swords, and then we give you the Jinchuriki," Mangetsu said.

Having no other choice, Daigo made the crystal surrounding both swords vanish and sent Kaito to perform the exchange with the shark-like ninja.

This ninja approached with the Jinchuriki to hand him over to Kaito, who was carrying both swords. But that was when everything happened in a single second.

Mangetsu and Ringo lunged forward with incredible speed along with the Kiri ninja, who, instead of releasing the Jinchuriki, retreated, leaving Kaito exposed.

Daigo, who had seen this coming, had already prepared; striking the ground with his leg, a line of crystal spikes erupted from the earth.

However, they were too slow against Ringo's lightning speed. She managed to snatch Samehada from Kaito before the barrier could strike.

"Crystal Style: Earth Thorn Shield!"

Giant pillars of pink crystal topped with razor-sharp points erupted from the basalt, creating a physical barrier between his allies and the attackers.

In that microsecond of blockage, Daigo and Pakura, where already prepared, looked at Kaito, who was gripping Kabutowari as if his life depended on it.

"I'm sorry, Kazekage-sama! They were too fast!" Kaito shouted toward Daigo, who had created a 360-degree barrier covering everyone.

"Don't worry. Now I have a new mission for you, Kaito. Use Kabutowari; if you survive, the sword is yours. Pakura, wait for me to clear some space and take charge of evaporating this mist it benefits them. We're fighting twenty-five ninjas in total."

Kaito nodded, gripping the handle of the axe and hammer tighter, while Pakura concentrated on manifesting her Shakuton. From inside, Daigo felt the ninjas surrounding them.

The sound of waves heading in their direction was exactly what he was waiting for. With a fluid movement, Daigo destroyed the protective barrier just as the waves crashed toward them.

Extending both hands as his chakra began to crystallize the very air, Daigo spoke.

"It seems my enemies never learn that water is nothing to me."

With swift movements, all the incoming waves were instantly crystallized. Daigo shattered the frozen waves, leaving countless small shards on the ground as he stood in the center, smirking.

Feeling the connection with every small crystal, he moved his hands as if conducting them; they began to merge, forming a dragon that swept everyone back before soaring upward and exploding in the sky.

Two hundred meters away, Sasori, Karinna, and the other ninjas were waiting. Suddenly, a pink dragon exploded in the air.

That was the signal. Everyone launched into the attack, except for Sasori, who remained behind to protect Karinna.

On the battlefield, Mangetsu who had seized Samehada and sheathed his other sword felt the blade come to life, using a bit of his chakra to recover. He watched the spectacle, reminded once again of how dangerous Daigo truly was.

"Is this how Kirigakure does business now?" Daigo asked, his eyes burning with icy hatred.

"Betraying a deal that could have saved your village from irrelevance. You're a pathetic leader, Mangetsu. You've condemned your people. From this moment on, Sunagakure declares any agreement with the Mist null and void."

"Politics of the dead don't matter. You won't leave here alive this time," Mangetsu spat. "You die here, and we take back what

belongs to us by right."

Mangetsu tightened his grip on Samehada so hard his knuckles turned white. However, he felt something unusual through the sharkskin of the sword: a shudder.

The legendary blade, usually insatiable and aggressive, was terrified. Having been sealed for so long within Daigo's crystal where its chakra was drained and its essence mineralized had left it traumatized.

Every time the Kazekage's pink glow intensified, the sword shrank its scales, refusing to extend fully.

"Even the blade fears you, Daigo?" Mangetsu growled, though internally he shared his weapon's unease.

The Mizukage launched his attack, but his style had changed. He was no longer the reckless warrior who relied on his Hydrification Jutsu to become intangible.

He knew that if he turned his body to water, Daigo's crystal would mineralize him instantly, turning him into a statue. Mangetsu fought defensively, using Samehadamore as a shield than an attacking weapon, trying to absorb the chakra Daigo emitted with every step.

Daigo, on the contrary, knew the advantage of fighting up close. Remembering who it was that had taken one of his eyes and defeated him before, he didn't give Mangetsu a single second of breathing room.

Seeing Mangetsu block a punch with Samehada, Daigo swept the ground with his legs, forcing the Mizukage to jump.

With a flexible movement, Daigo placed both hands on the ground and propelled himself upward, striking Mangetsu, who interposed Samehada to block the impact.

The sword let out a nearly human shriek as Daigo's legs, coated in a layer of dense crystal, collided with it. The blow pushed Mangetsu away, but Daigo leapt, reaching him again instantly.

A few meters away, the battle was a chaos of elements. Pakura had successfully created five heat orbs that shone like miniature suns.

"Scorch Style: Massive Incineration!"

Pakura shouted, extending her hands.

The orbs spun violently, creating a whirlwind of searing air that clashed with the Mist's fog. The resulting steam was so intense that many Mist ninjas began to suffer respiratory burns.

The tactical advantage of the Kiri ninjas literally evaporated before the power of the Hero of Suna.

However, out of her left eye, she noticed a yellow flash passing behind her. With her agility, she managed to block a Kiba blade with a kunai, which was snapped in half by the lightning.

"Pakura, we meet on the field once more. This time, there will be no draw. Today is your end," Ringo said, the electricity in her blades turning aggressive.

Meanwhile, Kaito was living his moment of glory and terror. Kabutowari weighed more than he had imagined, but the adrenaline gave him superhuman strength.

A Mist ninja tried to stab him from behind, but Kaito spun on his axis, slamming the hammer of the legendary sword into the ground. The shockwave shattered the enemy's armor and sent him flying toward the cliffs. Kaito grinned; Daigo had given him a treasure, and he had no intention of letting it go.

Back in the main duel, Mangetsu was beginning to grow desperate. Samehada refused to bite into Daigo's chakra out of fear of being encased in crystal. Daigo seized a second of hesitation from Mangetsu to connect a kick to his ribs, sending him tumbling across the ground.

"Your problem, Mangetsu," Daigo said, walking slowly toward him as the ground beneath his feet turned into a trail of sharpened crystals,

"is that you believe power comes from the objects you carry. But swords are just tools. True power comes from yourself. Obviously, they help, but without them, what are you?"

Mangetsu stood up, spitting a bit of blood that quickly diluted into water.

"Every Kage leads as they see fit, Daigo. If I defeated you once, this time won't be different. If Samehada fears you, then I'll use the one that doesn't," Mangetsu said, pulling out a scroll from

which Hiramekarei emerged.

"Perfect. Those were your last words. Because the next time I speak, there won't be a Fourth Mizukage left alive."
