The sounds of the battle that had begun some time ago still hadn't stopped especially farther away from the canyon, where a giant sand raccoon was fighting, turning everything around it into sand.

Rasa who was flying using his Gold sand watched as Arata, now transformed, kept Han who hadn't transformed in a defensive position.

Han who used his steam to move and dodge saw that any vapor jutsu was neutralized by Shukaku's wind bullets.

He preferred to take a more defensive approach using water jutsu to make the sand, which was easy to manipulate, a little harder to control making difficult to Shukaku.

But against Shukaku's full release and his strategy was quite useless when shukaku can just make more"

So Han had no choice but to use the bijū chakra and create a cloak around his body.

On his back, a bubbling white chakra tail moved uncontrollably.

Though that wasn't the only tail two more emerged, making a total of three tails now, and the chakra cloak became even denser, steam pouring out of it.

"Gyahahahaha! You're finally coming out let's fight, Gobi! This is more fun than fighting a human!" Shukaku shouted, slapping his belly as three wind bullets shot toward Han.

Han with his cloak didn't try to run. He activated his personal jutsu: Futton: Kairiki Musō (Vapor: Unmatched Strength) piercing through the three wind bullets as if they were gentle breezes.

He didn't stop he ran at an even faster speed than before, appearing beside Shukaku's giant body to deliver a powerful blow to his belly.

"Futton: Jōki Shōgeki-ha (Vapor Shockwave)," Han said as steam began pouring from his gauntlets, and a wave of pure vapor and bijū chakra launched toward Shukaku's belly.

Creating a hole straight through him and if Arata had been there, it would have been his end.

Shukaku looking at the hole in his belly seemed to go even crazier, laughing nonstop.

Han who had stepped back away from Shukaku looked as the hole didn't hit its target, Arata. He only shook his head to see the hole starting to close with new sand.

"I'll kill you, human! How dare you turn me into a donut!" Shukaku said, agitated as the sand seemed to move with his fury.

A massive amount of sand rose into the air like a new sky then the sand began changing shape, turning into spears.

Though that wasn't the only thing Rasa who was watching used his Gold sand to make the sand even heavier.

Making the already dangerous spears now even more lethal falling toward Han at super speed because of the weight

Han seeing the spears falling activated his armor to maximum, steam bursting from every part of the armor.

Then he moved like a rocket to dodge spear after spear.

But the spears seemed infinite while he dodged, Shukaku didn't stop creating more to replace the dodged ones.

"This can't keep going like this. The One-Tail has created enough sand to use jutsu nonstop, and I still don't fully control my transformation," Han thought while dodging another spear.

"Gyahahahaha! Why don't you stop for a second so I can tear you to pieces, Gobi? That's the only thing you know how to do!"

Han ignoring Shukaku's words noticed how the spears, upon hitting the ground, left sand everywhere. He had a bad feeling and he was right. As he passed over one of the sandy areas,

The ground seemed to come to life trapping the fast-moving Han in the sand, stopping his movements and holding him in place.

"Got you, seahorse! Now you're going to die say goodbye to this world! Gyahahahaha!" Shukaku said, clapping his two hands together.

"Sabaku Sōsō (Desert Funeral)," Shukaku shouted as the sand crushed Han into pieces.

Or at least that's what should have happened but the sand holding Han exploded in a burst of steam, freeing him and allowing him to escape the sand burial.

Han from a farther point felt cold sweat run down his back from nearly dying.

Looking at Shukaku more angrily, he glanced toward where the main battle should have been taking place and seeing that it seemed to have already ended, he knew what he had to do.

"This time you won the next won't be the same, desert rats," Han said launching himself like a rocket in the direction he came from, leaving behind an annoyed Shukaku.

Shukaku now left alone without a oponent was going to walk away but Rasa voice make him look toward him

"Shukaku, return control to Arata or I'll have to give you a beating myself," Rasa said to Shukaku who seemed even more annoyed but gave control back to Arata.

Making the former sand raccoon start to disappear and an Arata emerge from the sand as if he had just woken up.

"Rasa, you were completely useless Shukaku did all the work," Arata said, looking at Rasa who descended from his Gold sand.

"I only came to make sure you didn't die and I didn't need to fight. Let's go it looks like the others already won," Rasa said, starting to walk toward the other battlefield.

It didn't take even 10 minutes for them to see they were right seeing how some medical ninjas treated the wounded.

While those who were fine seemed to rest from the long battle in a more isolated area, a giant bee lay upside down, its once bright color now black and gray.

Completely burned and turned into a crisp near the bee stood Pakura along with Hiruko who, despite having fought a battle, didn't look injured at all.

"Looks like everything went perfectly over there," Rasa said, descending from the skies along with Arata who only observed everything.

"That's right it went almost exactly as planned. Thanks to Sasori's poisons, most of the ninjas were weakened, and we just had to finish them off," Pakura said, looking at both.

"I see it looks like you took out the leader of the Kamizuru clan," Rasa asked.

"He escaped using reverse summoning sacrificing his summoning," Sasori said.

Making Rasa look at the giant bee who can be eat if they want to the bad thing about it was that is burn

Arata who was looking around didn't find any enemy turn back to the other

"I'm bored being here I'm leaving. Let me know if you need my power for anything else. I'm going to sleep," Arata said, walking away from the others to go rest.

"And you two seem to have taken a few hits but nothing more," Pakura asked.

"The one who came was the Five-Tails. Though strong, Arata gave control to Shukaku and he created sand to put him on the defense instead of attacking, almost finishing him but he saved himself from the sand coffin using a steam explosion," Rasa explained.

"So you were useless," Sasori asked after listening to it

"I was only there as backup in case Arata needed help."

"Then you were useless no need for excuses," Pakura said starting to walk toward the other ninjas along with Sasori.

Leaving behind a Rasa clenching his fists at the words of Pakura and Sasori and Arata.

With the Iwa ninjas

Several kilometers away, Han stopped. The steam emanating from his red armor was no longer the roar of a pressure boiler but a weak, tired hiss the armor was at his limit after using the steam explosion.

Looking ahead and sensing chakra, he prepared to fight until a figure emerged from among the rocks.

It was Kamizuru Horun. The leader of the bee clan was unrecognizable. His robe was charred, his right arm had third-degree burns from Pakura's Shakuton, and his face

He had sacrificed his queen bee his summoning just to use reverse summoning and escape Sasori's puppets before they kill him.

"So you survived you don't look like you had a good time," Han said, looking at Horun's state.

"It was a complete defeat. The Suna ninjas seemed to have all the information on us and set up a perfect ambush. Everyone died," Horun reported.

Han didn't respond immediately. He looked at his own gauntlets still hot. And for the first time since a battle, he felt he wanted revenge against Shukaku and Suna.

"Let's go, Horun," Han said his voice sounding like stone scraping metal. "If we stay here, they might come to finish the job. It seems this Suna isn't the same as before."

When Han and Horun arrived at Iwa's advanced base, the atmosphere shifted from frantic activity to absolute horror. Seeing only the jinchūriki and a wounded clan leader arrive without a single soldier behind them was a direct blow to the rock-hard hearts of these ninjas.

In the command tent, the air became so thick it was hard to breathe. Kitsuchi stood with his hands on the table, staring at the casualty report he had just received.

"Two hundred eighty men…?" Kitsuchi's voice was a dangerous whisper.

"Are you telling me, Horun, that a woman and a puppeteer annihilated my elite vanguard?"

"It wasn't just that, Kitsuchi," Han replied, holding his gaze despite the aura.

"Suna's poison disabled our defenses from the start. Pakura incinerated anyone who tried to flee." Horun explained his part but Kitsuchi interrupted him and look at Han who was sitting drinking water

"And Han what did you do? Watch while they killed them?" Kitsuchi asked, slamming the table all the people in the room know how mad Kitsuchi was

"I went to help them, but they cut me off on the way. Rasa along with a kid who was Suna's new jinchūriki. It's not the old monk from before this child seems to have a more stable connection with the bijū," Han said telling his reason to why he couldn't him the other.

"They also used the terrain against us. They knew the canyon would trap the poison. Suna read all our movements and acted before we did." Said Horun finishing his explanation

Kitsuchi now more calm didn't say anything just start walking around the room thinking about al the possibility until a name came to his mind

"Ebizō! That old fox… I thought he was too decrepit to participate in this war. But this changes things. Iwa can't afford a defeat of this magnitude. If the news reaches Konoha or Kumo, they'll think the Rock has gone soft and my father will kill us."

Kitsuchi looked out the tent opening toward the mountains. His eyes reflected a thirst for vengeance that would set the desert ablaze.

"Mobilize the eastern battalions. If Suna wants a war of extermination, we'll give it to them. No more scouts we'll send squads to hunt them. Send a letter to Iwagakure about what we'll do next and if possible, bring Roshi too." Said Kitsuchi looking at his assistant

"As you say, Kitsuchi-sama I'll send it right now," a shinobi said starting to create the message.

"Han and Horun go to the medical station and recover. These desert lizards will pay for thinking we've weakened," Kitsuchi said before leaving the room.

While all this was happening, Suna and Iwa weren't the only ones moving. All eyes were on who would win the first major clash.

And the news that would arrive would surprise many but Suna wasn't satisfied with this victory. Instead of celebrating, they had returned to the base to await the Kazekage's new orders on what to do next.

Things would get hotter as the war continued and whoever showed weakness first would be the first to have to retreat and let the other win.
