After the dinner was over, the team went to a different place, more of a small pub, to sit down and talk now that the fun part was over.
"Now that you people have more robust Nen abilities and easy use of them, we shall think about our future." Conrad said as he looked at the circular table. Adarte took a sip from his beer and nodded.
"I would like to hear about our future... It sounds interesting." Hearing Adarte, Anisa smiled; Reginald and Lina, on the other hand, kept their silence and waited for Conrad to speak.
"First, we shall have a great amount of money and investments under different foundation names and sources of income for our operations and more power; this is the simplest thing we shall do."
"Also, I want all of you to have hunter licenses to operate easily; next year join the hunter exam..." As Conrad said these words, he thought and remembered about something.
"If any of you encounter a white-haired boy in that exam, don't touch him; I know him..."
All people nodded.
"I have two billion jenny..." said Anisa. Adarte looked impressed. "I have two billion jenny too; it is in the bank mostly."
Reginald and Lina looked at Conrad and nodded.
"I have ten billion jenny due to my status as Floor Master; it brings great profit when I work with firms..."
Lina added.
"I am only around two billion, Jenny too..."
Conrad nodded.
"I had some investments; I only have around two billion yen in cash."
"I believe, for a great income, around %3 5% a year, we shall need a total of 100 billion yen at the minimum."
"Now, there are two ways for us to make money... The first one is that we take missions from the Hunter Association, like we hunted down Light Upon Us, or we take them from the others..."
Adarte spoke.
"I say we should just take from the others, the kind of people who cannot go to law at all... such as the mafia; at this point, they pose no threat to us."
Reginald and Lina nodded; Anisa was silent.
Conrad looked at Anisa.
"What do you think?" Anisa thought for a moment and then said.
"I think it is okay to take from the Mafia; it is just that I do not prefer stealing."
Conrad nodded.
"I get you, but we can use that money they have to form our organization to a higher level and help people who need it who are kind and did not harm anybody. Don't you think it would be right to do that?"
Anisa nodded, and her eyes changed from neutral to happy. "I guess...that is right."
Conrad nodded.
"Okay then, it's decided; we shall rob the mafia..."
He then looked at Reginald and Lina.
"I want both of you to target and find rich mafia families around Yorknew City. The more money and assets they have that are not black money, the better it is for us. Also, try to choose from darker mafia, such as traffickers, murderers, and so on."
Reginald and Lina smiled and nodded. "For pleasure," they said at the same time.
Conrad nodded and turned to Aderta and Anisa.
"I want you both to gather knowledge about Underground Yorknew Action. Also, I heard from some of my friends that it is more than likely that the Phantom Troupe is in the city and may target Underground Yorknew Action and also target the mafia in general..."
Hearing about the Phantom Troupe, the faces changed. Now that they are more powerful than they were ever able to be, the team is not scared of the Phantom Troupe, but it does not mean that they do not hold a huge amount of power and are not capable of instilling fear in others.
Conrad looked at the faces and spoke.
"There is no need to be scared of the Phantom Troupe." Hearing these words, faces turned to him.
"They are just kids that did wrong to them, and they are getting revenge on the world... They are acting; they acted too much; they transformed into people they swore to destroy..."
All of the people at the table wondered one thing as Conrad spoke about the Phantom Troupe like this.
"How he knows these things."
It was not a secret that the Phantom Troupe are evil to the core and powerful at the same time, but their backstories and past are hidden; not much is known about them at all. So, considering all of these, it was shocking for them to see that Conrad spoke about them like this; it was exciting at the same time.
"Unless necessary, do not engage with them and do not target the same thing."
"They would not be here until the Yorknew Underground Auction starts, so we are free to do whatever we want to do for the time being, as we target the mafia; law will not think much about it."
Conrad then added.
"If any one of you encounters a problem, trust your friend; do not engage against NEN users when you are alone."
Reginald, Lina, Adarte, and Anisa nodded.
"I will also be looking for new additions to our team too."
"We will meet here one week later, complete the research, and then come here."
"I will not say anything about your changes in your abilities, as I know you guys feel it in yourselves and do not need to explain anything."
With these words, the meeting has come to an end.
After Conrad went back to his home, he took a shower and landed on his bed as he looked at the ceiling.
"I do not want to deal with them; Phantom Troupe is the target of Kurapika for the time being..."
"But if they think that I am somebody who they just can take care of as others, then they are in a pretty bad spot."
"If I want to, here and now, with the capabilities of Kurapika, my team, and my future knowledge, I can take them on, and most likely destroy them..."
"But, why... why would I do something like that? I would like to watch them more, interact, and ask about why they genocided the Kurta Clan in the first place."
"I am here to know what I don't know because I was back on Earth... Now, I have my chance to learn and satiate my curiosity."
