Conrad came back to Yorknew City after he finished with his own training and got his nen ability of resistance to Darwin.
Entering the house of Leorio, he looked at him and then nodded.
"You are greatly improving," he said. Leorio smiled at him.
"The materials you gave me to study are pretty helpful and easy to understand."
Conrad smiled.
"I am happy that you found it interesting and easy to learn."
Leorio then asked.
"Now, what should I do?"
Conrad thought for a moment and then said it.
"Usually, at this stage you should have enough nen mastery to create your own nen ability."
"But my method is different."
"I believe the better fundamentals of the nen are better than the ability that is created."
"It depends on your goals."
"If you want to create a nen ability and have your idea, we can work on that."
"Or, you can continue training in your basics and some other advanced Nen applications I can give you."
Leorio thought for a moment; he walked back and forth.
"You...said that I needed at least ten minutes to stay in Ken."
Conrad nodded.
"What do you think I should be able to stay in that powerful state?"
"I mean, for me to know that I am at the great level when it comes to the "Nen" and have enough volume and power to create my nen ability."
Conrad smiled.
"Great for you to figure that out."
Leorio laughed.
"Hey, it is not that hard to get..."
"I mean, it is also the only metric that I can use to understand my volume of need and endurance."
Conrad nodded.
"One hour."
"If you can use Ken without needing any rest for one hour, I believe you have enough nen to create your own ability."
Conrad then took another document from his bag and gave it to Leorio.
"These are some other advanced NEN applications, and I also added an emitter training technique."
"If you want to have more mastery over Nen and improve yourself, working on these will help you a lot."
Leorio took a deep breath, and his eyes focused on reading the document.
"Every time, I think that I have come to a point; you show that it is just to start."
Conrad laughed and nodded.
"Nen is something mysterious and has some sort of a never-ending quality when it comes to learning about it."
"I myself am still learning it as I go."
"Do you want me to tell you how to create a Nen-ability just in case?"
"I can give you the basics of it."
Leorio thought for a moment and nodded.
"I would like that... not that I would create a Nen ability without asking you to help me out on that, but basics should be great."
Conrad nodded.
"Nen Ability is the expression of your wishes and desires through your hatsu; it is basically the realization of your wish and a bargain with your life energy."
Leorio nodded and kept on listening.
"You want to do something with your aura, and then you start to build it."
"The most important thing is that your wish should stay in your own category, as you will find it easiest to realize and apply in the real world."
"Nen responds greatly to risks and self-sacrifice."
"The more you make it harder for yourself to do something, the easier it is to complete your nen ability."
Leorio touched his chin and then smiled.
"Can you give me an example?"
Conrad nodded.
"I will give you a real-world example, suited to you."
Conrad then looked at the bookshelf just beside Leorio and then spoke.
"You want to become a doctor, am I right?"
Leorio nodded.
"Yeah."
Conrad then added.
"Can you give me what you need to do to become a doctor in the first place? I do not mean wishing well for the others, just the steps."
Leorio smiled.
"Money, long studies, passing the exam, and entering a university that is capable of teaching you."
"Then, spend about four to six years keeping on passing the exams and learning huge amounts of knowledge about human anatomy."
Conrad nodded.
"So, after all this, you became a doctor."
Leorio kept his silence and wanted to know where it would connect.
Conrad then added.
"If becoming a doctor is a result of your nen ability, the things you are doing to become a doctor are the sacrifice, conditions, and relationship with your nen ability."
Leorio's eyes changed a little, and he nodded.
"I think... I get it."
Conrad then added.
"What if you were to spend ten years of time in a war zone and keep helping people there as a doctor?"
"How much you would improve after ten years!"
Leorio gulped.
"The experience and everything one can encounter in such a place..."
"They will be a great doctor, no doubt."
Conrad added.
"They will be a greater doctor than just an ordinary doctor because they have sacrificed ten years of their time and effort to help the others."
"As I said as I was explaining, the harsher the conditions you choose to complete your ability to form and create in the first place, the more powerful your ability will be."
"Also, it will need less nen than other abilities due to your conditions that needed to create it and activate it in the first place."
Leorio took a deep breath and nodded.
Conrad also added.
"Creational conditions are the conditions you first set up for yourself to complete so that ability can be created in the first place."
"Activation Condition is the condition for using your ability, something that you need to do each time before you want to use your ability or can be done to you."
"Limitations are, as the name suggests, what your ability can and cannot do, how many times you can use it, and who you can use it with; everything can be a limitation. A more powerful and harsher limitation again directly empowers your ability."
"Also, you have to understand."
"The more emotional connection you have to something, the better result you will get if you build your ability on that and put your limitations on the same thing you have the emotional bond with."
Leorio then smiled.
"I guess I do not need a Nen ability right now."
"So, I will listen to you and will put one hour of 'Ken' duration as my own creational condition to create my own ability."
