Chapter 223 - Kill Or Be Killed - Chapter 223

While the young man sat down at one of the stools just at the bar.

Conrad left the bar area, finishing his drink.

"Okay," the young man thought.

"The target left the bar area," he texted using his phone.

"Waiting for my next order." He texted after he was informed.

Two seconds later, the woman with the jacket and dress arrived and sat down with the young man.

She looked at the young man with weird eyes and then said.

"The mission is voided."

The young man gulped, and then holding his head, he wanted to ask if it was because of him.

The woman snickered.

"It is not only because of you..." she added.

She then ordered a drink for herself and then started talking.

"When I spoke to him, I understand that he never let himself open..."

The young man thought and then asked.

"Lady Melisi, is it wrong for a nen user at his caliber to keep on guard against any physical attack?"

Melisi looked at the young man like she was looking shit for a moment.

"Sternis, you have a really big problem." Melisi said.

Sternis was dumbfounded for a moment and then let out a cold breath.

Melisi then continued.

"I said nothing about physical attack at all."

"What I am telling you is that he never let himself open..."

"He did not answer my questions, he never told me his name, and he never looked at me with interest."

"Do you know why?"

Sternis touched his chin and then smirked and nodded.

"He knew from the start that you are no ordinary woman looking to find somebody to talk to."

Melisi nodded.

"Oh, great."

"It seems like you are not a complete dumbass."

Sternis just smiled; it seems like he is used to getting insulted and did not mind it.

Melisi then took a sip from her drink.

"That is the primary reason why the mission is no longer active."

"Also, when you entered the bar, you looked at him for less than half a second to confirm him."

"He noticed and smiled."

"He most likely also noticed that I noticed these two interactions between you, but I am not sure about it."

Sternis's face turned ashen this time; getting insulted is another thing, but making such a big mistake is something else.

Melisi, noticing the look on his face, laughed and said it.

"Do not worry, I am not going to report your mistake. Just be more careful."

"This time we end the mission because both of us and our strategy are not going to work against a nen user that already knows our purpose and is too high-level."

Sternis let out a deep breath and said.

"So, this mission is higher than what we are capable of doing...""

Melisi nodded and took a sip.

Before Conrad went to his room, he placed obelisks in several areas.

After the placing was complete, he went to his room and activated his ability in active mode.

He then found the woman and the young man.

"It is clear now."

"They were together, and they were sent by somebody."

"I am not sure if they have other people."

"But it does make sense not to let them go after they tried something..."

Conrad made a plan, and then he prepared his orbs and then sent them flying.

"Okay..."

"This is one of the first times I am using Obelisk Active Mode to control Trinity Archive Orbs."

"A new strategy that can be useful."

In a sense, Conrad is already capable of sensing his surroundings with the orbs, but the range is limited.

What he wanted to do was simple but also pretty hard and pretty much unheard of.

He wanted to first use "Obelisks" and then activate the orbs, then use Obelisk again to control them.

Basically, using his obelisks as his own body to increase the range and capabilities of the orb.

With this strategy, his range of fighting capability while using Orbs would increase a lot.

Also, Obelisk would have one more additional capability.

Something like a remote control.

"Okay."

"Now, go there."

Conrad kept on focusing. This action needed pure focus; at this point, he cannot move or do anything else.

Basically, he is using two active abilities at the same time, and each of them needs a huge amount of mastery of Nen and focus.

"While I control the orbs, I also focus the controlled orbs using the obelisk."

"It is hard but also great training..."

The orbs then passed the several rooms and the people; due to their nature as non-based objects, it is not hard to hide them from the ordinary people.

As long as somebody is not a Nen user that is aware of their surroundings or a non-Nen user but ex-military or an agent of some sort, they would not be able to notice the orbs.

"Okay."

"They are still at the bar."

"As long as I kill them using White Death, I should have no problem."

"This airship is luxurious and belongs to a great company."

"They would hide the incident but would not be cancelling any stops, as they would lose many customers."

Conrad smiled and could not help but think about the time that he needed to jump off from an airship just because he killed two robbers and stole a gemstone.

"Time does pass fast," Conrad thought.

While he thought about these, the orbs finally arrived at the bar, and then, as the door opened for a moment, only the White Death Orb passed and went to the corner.

"Okay."

"When I take the first shoot, I can kill one of them with ease."

"But others may escape and cause some problems."

"I should go for a shoot that would kill both of them at the same time."

"Tricky..."

"But it can be done."

Conrad wanted to use White Death because it was the cleanest.

He still did not forget to put the Aura Blast Orb by the door, waiting if something goes wrong and one of them can escape.

He would prefer not to use the Aura Orb, but if he does need it, he will not hesitate to blast the enemy at all.

At this point, he did not think for a second longer to kill the enemies targeting him at all.

Kill or be killed; if you target and decide that you want to kill an individual, you should at the very least expect to be killed by the same target.
