Reginald nodded as he understood that Conrad would not answer to his words at all. He was not shocked or offended. What is there to be said?
The referee came to the middle and said.
"This is a death match."
"Fight for your honors."
As the referee said his words, he went back, and then Conrad showed his cane, while Reginald took a deep breath for a moment and then whispered.
"Demon Eye – First Demon."
With a whisper from Reginald, his eyes turned completely white with a weird cloudy blackness in them, and then a second later, a white mannequin-like creature formed beside him.
"Most of the time, I wait for a chance to use this ability..." Reginald thought.
"This time, I don't have such time to do so."
While he confronted a mannequin-like creature, Conrad took the blade from his cane; with a burst of energy, the blade was enhanced with a huge amount of nen.
This was also the activation of his ability. Sign of it.
Reginald pointed at Conrad and whispered.
"Go on," and with his words, the first demon, the white mannequin, launched like a beast and started chasing Conrad with great speed.
Conrad moved back and forth while three orbs showed themselves as he moved back and left; he landed on one of the orbs while sending the White Death and Aura Burst orbs to orbit the arena.
Reginald watched everything with great interest and focus.
If this were not a battle of life and death, he would not be this tense, but it was a battle of life and death.
Every detail mattered.
"So..."
"I am sure that Cane and now Blade are nen abilities of his."
"Those three orbs are a mystery; they are too fast and capable of flying."
"He landed one of them and used it to dodge the attacks of my first demon."
"Usually, it should not be possible."
"What kind of connection do Cane and Blade have with these orbs?"
"It is not like he has two completely separate abilities."
Meanwhile, Reginald thought, Conrad made notes as he observed.
He understood that the eyes of Reginald most likely have some other abilities. This white demonic creature that he emitted seems like a nen beast that emitted with automatic control capabilities.
"According to my experience, I believe he should have some conditions for using the other abilities that he has."
"Either that or he is constantly sacrificing something."
Conrad thought and then made some plans within his mind and then attacked.
Reginald noticed that Conrad was diving toward him, and then he whispered.
"Demon Eye – The Blade Arms."
After Reginald whispered, from his shoulder to fingers, all turned white, and from his elbows, a long, curved, silver-colored blade manifested.
Conrad and the arm blades of Reginald clashed, and with a sound, both backed down.
"There are huge amounts of nan on those arm blades." Conrad commented.
"The Mannequin Creature is an emitted creature; to create those arms, one must have some sort of affinity or mastery over transmutation."
"I am not sure which is more correct."
"If I think that his eyes are the main ability, then it may have something to do with a huge condition and limitation with 'Enhancing Powers.'"
While Conrad commented and thought.
Reginald did the same.
"Fuck..."
"One clash with his blade, I felt the power deep in my bones."
"It is really hard to counter him."
"His speed and nen control are like a master's too."
Conrad then kept on attacking while he was still on the orb.
After his first battle against the Herivo family and leaving the scene with Anisa on top of the orb flying to the sky, he made sure that this ability was to be perfected and could be used effectively.
Now, while he is on the top of the orb, he can use it to fly at 80% of his normal speed.
He can fight and move like a habit on the orb; this added great versatility to his battle plans.
Conrad knew that he needed more information; with this thought, he kept on attacking.
"Ting!"
Two blades clashed again; Reginald ducked down and jumped to the left, while Mannequin, First Demon, arrived at his back side.
"Down." Reginald thought within, and the first demon ducked down for a moment.
Reginald stepped on its shoulders and tried to shoot himself towards the lower-flying Conrad.
Conrad felt some danger, and then Reginald shot at him like a demon in real life.
With one piece of thought, Conrad vanished from where Reginald attacked him and appeared at the back of the First Demon and slashed at it.
Reginald looked at the first demon that got turned into several pieces, like a fish that is being prepared for sushi, and stopped for a moment.
"Now what!"
"He can teleport too?"
"I try to keep my attention on these two orbs..."
"Are they marking for his teleportation?"
"Or some sort of a condition..."
"If they were markings, he would be teleported to them, not just at the side of the first demon, and harm it greatly..."
Reginald was having problems trying to understand what was happening and why Conrad was able to do what he was able to do.
It was not in line with what he knew about the "Nen"; it was something that he did not expect at all.
"Fuck this..." Reginald felt that he was getting more stressed each second and knew that he wanted to see another day.
He needs to be focused on the battle and keep on attacking without giving time to the enemy.
He believed the enemy was a master and prepared mage-like Nen user instead of a direct-combat Nen user.
Fighting against such nen users meant that one had to take the offensive. If time goes on and the enemy can fulfill more conditions that he or she set up before the battle, the battle may end without him knowing what happened due to the enemy and his abilities and the conditions of it being fulfilled.
