Chapter 160 - One Moment Of Distraction - Chapter 160

Conrad looked at the monstrosity in front of him and nodded.

"I cannot play anymore," he thought.

He understood in one look at the monster-like abomination creature that this was not a joke anymore.

The nen on that creature, the power, everything said that he must be serious or something bad is going to happen.

"Now."

"According to my understanding, these creatures are generally almost impossible to kill," Conrad thought.

This understanding came from the fact that he was experienced in games.

If the woman nen user emitted this creature through many conditions, there must be a link between this creature and her.

This also meant that if the nen user emitted the creature, it would be killed. It is more than likely that the creature too will be dead in the result of it.

The target is the summoner, not the summon, basically.

"I can go past the creature..." Conrad did not use his Blink ability from the start.

So, that was still a trump card.

While he thought about these things, the creature roared again and then started running towards him.

It has many numbers of arms, and different weapons are on each arm; it is almost impossible to understand where it would attack and escape from all the attacks.

Conrad jumped back first and then dodged several attacks.

He was not fool enough to counter-attack to get close.

He waited for the best chance.

A moment of carelessness from the woman watching the battle.

That is when he will blink and then deal fatal damage to the woman, killing her.

But he needed to wait. Right now, the woman's attention is on the battle and himself.

If he were to vanish, it would give at least one to two seconds to the woman to react to his vanishing.

It is a natural reaction to a vanished enemy.

Almost all NEN users would get protective and be ready to defend.

He did not want her enemy to have such a chance at all.

-

While back in the room, Arjoe kept attacking, and Adarte kept dodging or counter-attacked with his metal bat.

He had his chance to kick and punch, but he never chose those types of attacks.

He did not want to get in close to the enemy at all.

Arjoe, on the other hand, was having problems, as he could see that despite traversing every point of the huge room.

He was not able to get close enough to activate his ability on the enemy at all.

"Fuck sake!"

"His physical capability, base abilities, and nen control all exceed my own!"

"If he does not counterattack and get close by himself, I can tail him all day but still cannot get close to him." Arjoe thought.

He understood his shortcomings as he tried to get close and exchanged blows with the guy.

The man was not a fool at all. He only attacked himself with a metal bat and never used something else.

"Something..."

"There must be something I can do. Let him attack me?"

Arjoe thought as he watched the man; as he thought, Radey spoke.

"Be careful, Arjoe."

"Our target is not to kill the enemy but to defend the prince. That is all."

"If they spend their time fighting us, it is great for us."

"More support and new users from the Royal Family will arrive anyway."

"When they come, they can clean these people."

Arjoe listened to Radey's words and then calmed himself down.

He understood that this is no honor fight or duel.

It was a protection duel, and the only thing he needs to focus on is keeping earning time.

It's been two to three minutes since the battle started.

If they can spend ten to fifteen minutes, then the support will arrive, and at that time, these three will either try to escape or die under their allies.

-

At the same time, Conrad kept on dodging attacks from the monster and then let out a cold breath.

"Now."

"Anisa is on the point."

"If she attacks from the window and causes enough sound and mayhem, this woman will stop looking at me for a moment."

"A moment is all I need."

Because Conrad was the one that manipulated the sphere so that Anisa was carried to the skies from the outside, he knew where she was all the time.

One second, two seconds, and three seconds.

A huge boom resonated from the inside of the room.

The sound of glass breaking and the room exploding can be loudly heard from all parts of the building.

The sound made Nilse look at the back for just a half second to understand what was happening.

"Did the enemy use some sort of a bomb?" she thought for a moment and then looked at the front of herself and noticed that the one-hundred-life demon, the creature, and her own ability turned at her.

"Why?"

"Why, my creature is running towards me," she asked.

She then noticed that the enemy is not in its place.

All these thoughts, it just took her less than one second to think and understand.

As she noticed, her body started moving.

She felt something weird.

Her point of view changed; she was able to see her body from three meters above for a moment, and then her eyes—her point of view started dropping to the ground.

"Thud."

A woman's head landed on the ground as the one and a half seconds ended.

The moment, the head was cut off and the head dropped on the ground, the monster like creature vanished in black smoke.

Conrad smiled and nodded.

"One moment of distraction was all I needed to kill..."

He then, without wasting any time, directly turned to the room and started running.
