Chapter 123 - Hurt Ego - Netero Arrives - Chapter 123

While Conrad thought about handling the flag matter, as he knew and could sense the fact that Togari and Hisoka were fighting.

The battle was about to come to an end in terms of mental courage from Togari.

The more he fought against Hisoka and the more he used his sword against him, the more he understood that there was some sort of backing up from Hisoka.

"He is not taking me serious!" Togari could not help but think as he backed off for a moment to gather his breath.

"I am not sure about his nen ability either," he thought while looking at the smiling Hisoka.

It had been only about one minute since they started fighting, but they exchanged many attacks.

Such a action was not something that he was used to at all.

"What is it?" Hisoka asked in a playful tone as he showed some of his cards.

"Are you not going to attack, or are you telling me that a hunter like you is already out of air?"

Togari gulped, and his face turned red like a tomato from the words he heard.

Such words could not be said to a man like him.

"Shut up!" He roared and then charged straightforward again.

Hisoka dodged to the left and attacked with a kick.

"Thumps!"

The kick connected to the side of Togari and sent him flying towards the wall of the cave.

Hisoka smiled as he looked, and then an idea came to his mind.

"If you are not going to show what you got for real, I may need you to have some motivation and work hard."

As Hisoka said these words, his eyes landed on the people he put to sleep.

The applicants that he had fought before.

Togari, coughing up blood, looked at Hisoka and then noticed his intent in a second.

"No!" he shouted as he tried to get up, but Hisoka already moved; he started killing the people on the ground by shooting cards at their heads.

With some flick of fingers, several cards flew up to the sleeping applicants and killed them in an instant.

In just three to five seconds, fourteen applicants were dead.

"You!"

Togari felt like he was belittled beyond the level that he never expected he would have in his life.

This was something to feel, something that he never prepared for.

Especially after he got to learn nen and mastered it.

"I-"

"I-"

With full force, he took the scimitar on the ground, and then again, this time using almost all of his nen, he launched a second attack on Hisoka.

While he launched his attack, he whispered.

"The Blade Of Will"

Togari was an enhancer; his ability, Blade Of Will, was a simple ability that did not need much thought.

As his will to defeat his enemy increases, the more he wants to kill the enemy in front of him, the more nen he is capable of mustering to himself and then towards his scimitar.

When the ability is complete, the Scimitar turns deadly due to the amount of nen, and all attacks from it become a lot more powerful than usual.

The limitations and drawbacks of the ability are that when he uses this ability, he must target only one enemy and that due to his sword, the scimitar transforms and becomes too dangerous and powerful of a weapon; the nen protecting his body almost becomes negligible.

An ability that formed every point of view that was not great and had too much risk.

Hisoka saw the changes on Togari and his attack, and he smiled.

"Yes..."

"You will do it, but not now..."

He thought.

Then, Togari got close enough and slashed with his scimitar. Hisoka easily dodged the attack of Togari due to fundamental differences between their nen mastery and power and then made a two-slash attack, right and left, making an "X" shape on the body of Togari, dropping him on the ground.

Not dead, but blood was oozing from his body and face; if he wanted him dead, he would be dead, but that was not something Hisoka would do when he saw a potential enemy.

At the same time, a group of figures arrived, Lono and other examiners, including an old man, Netero himself.

Netero looked at everything and then shook his head.

"Quite a mess you did," he said as he looked at Hisoka.

Hisoka kept his mouth shut and weakened his nen. It was clear that his behavior and actions showed that he did not want to fight at all.

Especially not against Netero.
