The Nature of Skills

In a world governed by the System, power does not arise from effort alone—it is recognized, refined, and sometimes granted.

Skills are manifestations of one's path. They are not random abilities, but structured expressions of identity, growth, and external influence.

Every individual is limited to a maximum of three skills, and in most cases, these are acquired gradually over time rather than all at once.

---

🔹 The Three Classes of Skills

1. Inherent Skills (Bloodline Skills)

These are abilities engraved into an individual from birth.

They originate from:

lineage

ancestry

or unique biological traits

Inherent Skills are not learned—they are awakened.

Their strength and nature depend heavily on the purity and potential of the bloodline. Some remain dormant for years, only surfacing under extreme conditions.

---

2. Apostle Skills (Divine Skills)

These are abilities granted directly by a God to their chosen apostle.

Unlike other skills:

they do not follow standard system logic

they often surpass conventional limits

they are deeply tied to the will and authority of the granting deity

Example:

Tristan's Foresight — a power that reflects divine intervention rather than personal development.

Apostle Skills are rare and mark the user as something beyond ordinary hunters.

---

3. Evolved Skills.

These are skills bestowed by the System itself.

They are awarded when an individual demonstrates:

consistent effort

clear specialization

and alignment with a specific combat or functional path

The System observes, calculates, and then grants a skill that best supports that path.

Evolved Skills are the most common type among hunters, but they are far from weak—they are optimized for the user.

---

🔸 Skill Limit

Each individual may possess a maximum of:

> Three Skills

This limitation appears to be a structural rule imposed by the System itself.

Skills are rarely obtained simultaneously

Most individuals develop them over time

The order of acquisition can influence combat style and growth

⚙️ Example Skills

◼️ Shadow Clone (Evolved Skill)

A skill that generates dark, purple-tinted clones of the user.

Capabilities:

Create up to 10 clones simultaneously

Travel between clones instantly

Share vision and awareness across all clones

Limitations:

Clones have low durability

Excess clones require direct mana consumption

Easily destroyed under sufficient force

Usage: Primarily used for:

misdirection

scouting

mobility

Jin utilizes this skill to control the battlefield and disorient opponents.

---

◼️ Iron Wall (Evolved Skill)

A defensive skill that constructs a holographic barrier.

Activation Requirement:

Raise weapon horizontally

Channel mana while issuing the command

Capabilities:

Generates a 5-meter wide barrier

Durable enough to withstand the force of approximately 35 grenades

Limitations:

Fixed defensive structure

Requires proper stance and timing

Usage: A high-level defensive skill used to:

block incoming attacks

protect allies

stabilize battlefield positions

Currently known user: Francess

---

🧠 Final Notes

Skills are not chosen—they are earned, inherited, or bestowed

A skill reflects the nature of its user

The System does not make mistakes—every skill has a purpose

In the end, it is not the number of skills that defines a hunter…

…but how well they understand and use them.
