Chapter 47 - Ten Thousand Troops — At a Single Thought

(Seeking Support)

The White Elves were an exceptionally beautiful race.

They possessed long, golden hair and snow-white skin, but more importantly—their features perfectly matched Eastern aesthetics.

Their civilization was predominantly female, ruled by a royal lineage, and the supreme ruler of the White Elves was always a Queen.

They wielded the power of light, and while their strength was far from weak, they disliked warfare and abhorred slaughter. Their civilization focused heavily on longevity, balance, and harmony, making them a rather unique race among the many worlds.

At this moment.

Within the ruins.

Bai Jue and Liu Guocheng advanced slowly, maintaining full vigilance.

Black smoke lingered in the air.

Corpses lay scattered everywhere, frozen in expressions of agony.

Suddenly—

"Hiss—"

From a collapsed structure nearby, a shadowy figure lunged out.

Its body was formed entirely of black mist, featureless except for a pair of blood-red eyes. It looked like a mass of smoke given shape.

It wasn't a conventional evil spirit.

The moment it appeared, it charged straight at them.

"Dark entity?! You're asking for death!"

Liu Guocheng's expression changed instantly. He roared and threw a punch, pale white light blooming around his fist as it exploded forward.

With a single blow—

The shadowy creature was completely dispersed.

Bai Jue frowned slightly.

"What's a dark entity?"

"A manifestation of darkness," Liu Guocheng replied grimly.

"I don't know the full details either. What I do know is that they're insane, bloodthirsty, and capable of corrupting living beings—like demons."

"There are dedicated records about them in the archives. You can read them later."

He looked around, his expression heavy.

"Judging by the situation here… this massacre was probably caused by dark entities."

Before he could finish—

"Hsss…"

"Hsss…"

Hoarse growls echoed from all directions.

Both men tensed immediately.

The corpses of the fallen White Elves—

Those that should have remained dead—

Were turning black at a visible speed.

Crimson eyes snapped open.

Like undead puppets, they rose from the ground one by one, letting out raspy roars as they staggered toward the two of them.

"As expected," Liu Guocheng muttered.

"Wherever dark entities appear, these zombie-like abominations follow."

"They're either contaminated by dark energy, or their bodies carry dark blood. That's why they rise again after death."

"And worst of all—"

"They retain the power they had while alive."

Bai Jue nodded calmly, his expression unshaken.

Then suddenly, he turned his head.

In the distance, atop a low mountain, stood a ruined palace.

And yet—

A brilliant golden radiance shone from within it, forming a barrier that enveloped the entire structure.

"That should be the White Elf Queen's palace, right?" Bai Jue said in surprise.

"Could she still be alive?"

"It's possible," Liu Guocheng replied, taking a deep breath.

"But getting there won't be easy."

"This path… will be nothing but slaughter."

As he spoke, even more corrupted White Elves began clawing their way up from the ground, surrounding them from all sides.

Seeing this, Bai Jue let out a helpless laugh.

"This is my first mission," he said.

"Didn't expect it to be this intense."

Then his eyes sharpened.

"But if it's slaughter they want—"

"Then slaughter it is."

The Soul-Harvesting Scythe appeared in his right hand, yin flames spreading across its blade.

Bai Jue smiled faintly, murmuring to himself,

"What I look forward to the most… is killing."

"Hsss—!"

The corrupted White Elves roared as blackened light gathered in their mouths, firing beams toward him.

Bai Jue tilted his head slightly to the right—

The attack skimmed past him harmlessly.

In the next instant, he swung his scythe and shouted coldly:

"Kill!!"

Boom—!

Behind him, Yama's Domain unfolded.

A colossal gate emerged from the void, city walls materializing within the swirling darkness.

In that single moment—

Endless black mist surged forth, engulfing the battlefield behind Bai Jue.

From within it, wraiths, specters, and soul beasts poured out like a tide.

Underworld enforcers stepped forward in silence, blades flashing as they cut down enemies without mercy.

A lone man—

In the blink of an eye—

Had summoned an entire army.

Across the battlefield, countless undead and vengeful spirits surged forward, obeying Bai Jue's will as they tore into the corrupted White Elves.

Liu Guocheng stared, eyes wide with shock.

"…Holy shit."

"So this is Zhongyuan?"

"This is ridiculous… just how many evil spirits does he have?"

His voice trembled with awe.

"Now I understand why Zhongyuan is called a top-tier festival."

This kind of summoning power—

Even witnessing it made his scalp tingle.

Thankfully, Bai Jue was his teammate.

If this man were an enemy…

He wouldn't hesitate for a second—he'd turn and run.

Taking a deep breath, Liu Guocheng stopped hesitating.

He stepped forward, locked onto a target, and charged into battle.

As a Labor Day awakener, his physical strength was terrifying.

It was as if he possessed a natural Heavenly Reward for Diligence—every bit of effort directly translated into growth.

While he couldn't gain supernatural powers just by reading books, his relentless training forged a monstrous physique.

Coupled with combat techniques learned from other civilizations, his battle strength was anything but ordinary.

His muscles swelled as he fought, transforming him into a human juggernaut.

Every punch carried devastating force.

From a distance, Bai Jue watched and smiled.

He raised his scythe, said nothing, and stepped forward—

Like a cannonball, he shot across the battlefield.

In an instant, he appeared before a corrupted White Elf.

The scythe flashed.

"Die."

The blade fell.

The creature's head separated cleanly from its body, which was instantly swallowed by yin flames and reduced to ash.
