Chapter 83 - Reinhard Camp: The Second Battle for Priestella.

(Small updates. There is no Astrea Manor in the City of Priestella. I updated some previous chapters to ensure continuity. The Reinhard camp was merely renting a manor from a friendly and grateful owner. If there are any continuity mistakes, please notify me.)

Natsuki Subaru, the loud youth, with his army of young-looking women and reputation for using them (in battles), marched towards Reinhard's rented manor in the city of Priestella. Both the Emilia and Felt camps felt like they had overstayed in the city, but deny it as they may, they were central to its defenses and victory.

The Felt camp, also Reinhard's camp, was preparing to leave. Reinhard van Astrea insisted on leaving the city to search for new clues on how to help his new friends; he made a promise to them, and he wasn't about to break it.

A loud, continuous bang on the wooden manor's door startled the young green-haired man, who was eating a hamburger near the entrance. Izuku Midoriya was staring outside the window and straight at the sparkling canal. He had never seen water so clean and pristine before, always mesmerized by the fantastical view.

Also, Izuku had learned that hamburgers possibly came from a transported person. Anyways, he wanted to open the door because he sensed the urgency, but that would be rude since he was merely a guest. A young butler of the rented manor opened the door.

The young butler recognized the young exhausted man banging at the door.

"There's something wrong near the entrance of the city! Call Reinhard! They're extremely strong and dangerous; they've already killed several people."

Subaru roared at the young butler, his sweat beading and dripping down his cheeks, his voice rasping. His eyes looked like he suffered from something severe, but his figure looked fine and healthy, maybe slightly famished.

The young butler was now terrified at the news, and as he turned around, Reinhard was already behind him with a disarming smile. Reinhard placed his hand on the young butler's shoulder, calming him with a modest pat.

The young butler's fears eased, he then bowed and excused himself, heading to notify the owner of the manor. Reinhard then glanced at Subaru and winked.

"Say no more, Natsuki," Reinhard said as he smiled, also greeting Beatrice and waving at the other young maid with golden blonde hair behind Subaru.

"Good morning, I suppose," Beatrice answered as she looked away, staring at the iron gate as if it were more interesting than Reinhard's smile.

"I'll meet you there." A voice murmured from behind; it was Jin Woo Sung. He then disappeared, his figure taken by the shadows, then replaced with a shadow ant. Not the powerful insectoid, just a child sized-ant.

"I'll go too." Megumu Fushiguru said, wearing his freshly ironed school uniform.

"Me too," Izuku announced, also wearing his freshly ironed combat uniform.

...

...

...

Reinhard, Sung, and Mahoraga (summoned by Megumi earlier) were now facing a white-suited man who, despite the bloody assacre, remained spotlessly clean. The man walked forward and picked up his hat, patted it for dust, then wore it and smiled.

Subaru, Beatrice, a knight who was supposedly well known but strangely no one remembered, and Emilia were in the background.

Emilia insisted on coming and was horrified that she was too late, people had already died. Subaru held her hand to calm her down. The dead bodies of the innocents were scattered all around; a few guards had been taken out with their swords in their hands.

Some of the buildings were destroyed; their upper half, repaired from the previous battle, was now halved again. The city was still in its state of repair, and a new trouble had arisen.

Subaru grinned and glanced at Emilia. "Don't worry, Emilia-tan, we got a full house of amazing people!" He tried to ease her worries.

Emilia weakly smiled and glanced at Subaru. "What's a full house?"

Reinhard walked forward, just a few steps, and scanned the environmental damage and the fallen guards. He bowed his head and closed his eyes, muttering a small and silent prayer at the fallen.

"They put up a great effort."

Reinhard thought as he then glared at the man responsible for the massacre. The man was obviously evil, reeking malevolence and taking great pleasure from the massacre while also at the sudden appearance of the three who came to stop him.

"Oh my. A triple wonder in my first mission." The man announced. "Good, that means I won't have to track you down."

"What's your name, beast?" Sung shouted.

"Why would I give you that?" The man replied as something surged within him, a power-up.

"Fair enough." Reinhard quipped.

"Mahoraga, jump him," Megumi said, away from danger, close to Subaru's group.

Mahoraga leaped forward with grand zeal, a huge grinning smile on his face. The man then blocked Mahoraga's first opening attack with his hand; despite it being smaller, he was able to fully block the punch.

The man then spun and kicked Mahoraga away. As Mahoraga's figure flew away, the two men, Sung and Reinhard, had already disappeared.

The sound of metal hitting flesh came from behind. Sung drove the blade into the man's back just below the right ribs, and as the man struggled to dislodge it, Reinhard stepped in front of him and smashed his fist into the man's stomach.

The man bared his fangs for a moment, from the overwhelming pain, his nails growing sharp and the veins in his head almost popping. Sung continued to stab while Reinhard continued to fist the man, who could only stand in shock, literally stunned by an unseen force. With each strike, they drained the man's strength, vitality, power, and enhancements.

The man then collapsed to the ground. Sung and Reinhard stepped back as they watched the man writhe in pain, unable to deliver some sort of counter or power-up. There was something strange with Sung's stabs, and there was something extremely wrong with Reinhard's fisting.

The dying man couldn't form a coherent thought; he tried accessing some hidden form, but nothing. Something was blocking or preventing its activation.

Mahoraga came back, pissed off, and spotted the writing man. As Mahoraga surged forward, the man's thrashing form managed to twist his head toward the towering giant casting a massive shadow.

A punch landed squarely on the man's chest, worsening the already severe, gaping wound that was bleeding profusely.

Mahoraga delivered another, then another. Beru, on standby, and Iron too, jumped at the opportunity and joined in on the beating. Beru kicked, Iron bashed, and Mahoraga jabbed.

"Y-you fucking filt-"

The man with a bloodied face barely managed to mutter his spite as his face was then demolished by Mahoraga. The man's regeneration was impressive, always almost healing from each blow.

Reinhard then faced Subaru and smiled. Subaru always had great timing, and that was his main strength; Reinhard noted that something must've happened. The white-suited man was powerful and supposedly had transformations.

Subaru revealed the transformations to Reinhard on the way. To counter, Reinhard wished for something, and Sung muttered something about using a certain dagger.

Then, the battle for Priestella was won again.

"GET DOWWWWWWWWWWWN!" Subaru shouted.
