Chapter 7 - Training Part 1

The sun was just starting to come up. It made long, purple shadows on the room floor.

At exactly 6:00 AM, Zephyr's eyes opened. He was not sleepy at all. Instead, he felt excited and a little nervous. Today was the first day of his training. He was going to learn how to use his real power.

He washed his face with cold water and went downstairs. He could smell breakfast cooking—hot grain, meat, and fresh herbs.

The smell made him feel safe, even though he knew his life was about to change.

Zephyr washed his face and walked down the big stairs. The kitchen smelled like toasted bread and meat. It was a nice smell that made him feel good.

"Good morning, Dad,"

"Good morning, Mom.

Good morning, Lina." Zephyr said.

His father, Seres, was looking at a map. His mother, Elena, smiled at him, but she looked a little bit worried. His sister was already eating her breakfast. Her wood practice sword was leaning against her chair.

Zephyr ate his food quickly. The room was very quiet because everyone knew today was a big day for Zephyr. Finally, Zephyr looked at his father.

"Dad, let's go train," Zephyr said. "I am ready."

Seres finished his tea and smiled at his son. "A warrior must learn to wait," his father said. "But I like that you are excited. Let's go."

Zephyr, Lina, and their father walked into the thick forest near their home. The air felt heavy with magic. They stopped in a big open space where they always practiced fighting.

Seres did not grab a sword. Instead, he picked up a stick and started drawing shapes in the dirt.

"Before you use a sword, you must understand how power scale works," Seres said.

His voice sounded like a teacher's. "In our world, everyone has a rank. If you do not know how strong someone is, you could get hurt very badly."

"The path of Power is divided into ten Ranks," Seres explained, pointing to the first mark in the dirt.

"Novice = This is where you are, Zephyr. A vessel that newly awakened

"Intermediate = Here, the energy begins to solidify. You can coat your blade or your fists, extending your reach."

"Advanced = Most newly joined knights of the empire stop here."

"Master = The threshold of greatness. A Master can turn the tide of a small battle.

"Grandmaster= The mind begins to commune with the laws of the universe. It is no longer just about strength it is about understanding why the flame burns."

"Sage = Now we enter the realm of the extraordinary. A Sage can create domain by mastering a law.

"Saint = A Saint is a walking calamity. They no longer use mana they dictate it to the environment around them."

"Monarch = The protectors of the Great Families. One Monarch is enough to ensure a peace for a bloodline."

"Sovereign = Beings who stand at the pinnacle of mortal existence. The Principal of the Divine Radiant Academy is one such legend."

"Divine: "The realm of myths. To reach Divine is to shed humanity behind and walk among the stars."

Seres looked up, his shadow stretching across the clearing. "Each of these ranks is further split into Early, Mid, and Peak stages. Never underestimate a Peak Novice just because you are an Early Novice. The gap is a very big."

And Next.

"Weapons are not just metal; they are conduits. They range from Common, which any blacksmith can forge, to Rare and Epic, which require specialized materials. Unique weapons often possess a 'soul' or a specific elemental affinity. Above that, you find the Legendary and Mythical—blades that have tasted the blood of kings."

He paused, his voice turning solemn. "Then there are the Ancient and Divine artifacts. These are not 'made.' They are found, often in the ruins of fallen civilizations or gifted by the gods themselves. A Divine weapon in the hands of a Sovereign can split a continent."

"But we are not alone on this planet," Seres continued. "The monsters that roam the dark corners of the world follow their own progression: Tier 1 through Tier 10. Like us, they have Early, Mid, and Peak sub-ranks. A Tier 1 goblin is a nuisance. A Tier 10 Abyssal Dragon is a global extinction event."

Seres swept his branch across the dirt, drawing a rough map of the globe. "The world is split into six great continents, each a continent have of its own race."

The Human Continent dominated by the Divine Sun Empire, the peak of human civilization and military might.

The Elf Continent A land of eternal spring, ruled by the Elf Royal Family. They guard the World Tree, the source of all life-energy.

The Dwarf Continent: The Divine Forge Empire. If you want a Mythical blade, you go to the mountains of the dwarves.

The Demon Continent A brutal, scorched land. Unlike us, they have one law the Demon Emperor.

The Dragon Continent They have no cities, for the sky is their home. They follow the Dragon Emperor, the oldest living being in existence.

The Beast Continent Home to the Divine Beast Empire, where strength is the only currency.

Seres wiped away the map and drew seven circles. "Closer to home, you must understand the politics of the Divine Sun Empire. It is a house built on powerful pillars."

"The Royal Family sits at the center. They maintain their grip on the throne through the strength of a Pseudo-Sovereign—a warrior who has touched the edge of the Sovereign rank but hasn't yet crossed the threshold.

Surrounding them are the Six Great Families. Our family is one of the threads in this tapestry. Each of the Six possesses at least one Monarch rank powerhouse, ensuring that no single family can be easily toppled."

"And then," Seres pointed toward the distant spires of the capital visible on the horizon, "there is the Divine Radiant Academy. The Principal is a true Sovereign. Even the King bows his head in respect to that man.

The Academy remains neutral, training the next generation regardless of bloodline."

Finally, he looked toward the sky. "And never forget the Heavens. There are temples scattered across every continent. The Gods are real, Zephyr. They watch, and occasionally, they grant Blessings. A blessing can grant a power that Master can face Grandmaster rank

Seres dropped the branch. The ground was now a complex web of ranks, tiers, and political boundaries. Zephyr stared at it, the sheer scale of the world finally sinking in.

He was a Novice in a world of Sovereigns, a small boy in an empire of Monarchs.

"The lesson is over," Seres said, his hand resting on the hilt of his sword.

"Now, we see if your body can keep up with your mind. Zephyr, take your stance."
