Chapter 335: Coveting Kakashi
"What… how old is that Granny Chiyo?"
Naruto asked cautiously.
"This… I'm not sure…"
"Seventy. One year older than the Third Hokage."
Uzuki Yūgao answered on behalf of Ajisai.
"Th-then… What does this Granny Chiyo look like? Can she pretend to be young like Granny Tsunade?"
Naruto pressed on.
"…No. Maintaining youth is a technique unique to the Fifth Hokage. No one else can do that for now."
Ajisai glanced at Yugao, thinking she would continue answering, but instead saw her pulling out a small notebook and writing something down, so she answered Naruto herself.
Yugao's note: Uzumaki Naruto refers to the Hokage as "granny" and says she pretends to be young.
"Ah? Then Kakashi-sensei is doomed! He has to marry such an old woman? No way, I've got to go save him!"
Only after asking those two questions did Naruto finally show an expression of righteous indignation.

"Yo, Naruto! What are you doing here? Did the Hokage assign you another mission?"
At that moment, a voice broke the strange silence. Kiba waved as he walked over, with Shino and Hinata following behind.
"No… Kakashi-sensei got captured."
Naruto said with a troubled expression.
"Oh? Finally got captured?"
Kiba wasn't surprised at all. In fact, he seemed relieved.
Shino and Hinata had the same expression, leaving Naruto stunned.
Did these three have a grudge against Kakashi-sensei?
Or had they all been hit with his Thousand Years of Death or something?
Why did they react like this?

"Are you sure Kakashi was captured?"
Kiba asked in return.
"Of course!"
Naruto replied without hesitation.
"Are you really sure?"
Kiba stroked his chin, taking on a detective-like pose, just like when they investigated Kakashi's house.
"Kakashi-sensei's strength is recognized across the ninja world."
"Not only that, he has close relationships with Jonin Might Guy and Yamato."
"And when we were investigating his room, we even encountered a mysterious person who left us a hint."
"He claimed to be some 'righteous passerby.'"
"But he couldn't fool me, Detective Kiba, or Akamaru's nose."
"I had Akamaru memorize the scent of that mysterious person from the note."
"Later, when we met Kakashi, Akamaru detected a faint trace of that same scent in Kakashi's mouth."

Naruto suddenly had an epiphany and clapped his hands.
"Then I'll go inform Thick-Brow-sensei…"
"Idiot Naruto, stop right there."
Kiba grabbed him, looking exasperated.
"Don't you get it? What I mean is, Kakashi might not have been captured at all. He might have gone willingly!"
"What are you talking about? That's an old lady! How could Kakashi-sensei go willingly?"
Naruto was completely shaken, his face full of disbelief.

Kiba sighed.
"If you don't believe me, at least believe Shino and Hinata."

Naruto fell into deep conflict.
When it came to chasing Sasuke, he could act without thinking.
But Kakashi was different.
Was he really going to interfere with Kakashi-sensei's pursuit of his own happiness?
