Nora's POV
Damn it.
"Katherine," I shout, rushing through the corridors of our home.
"What is it?" she responds from somewhere deeper in the house.
"There's a vampire standing in my front yard."
"You don't recognize him?"
"Absolutely not," I reply, sprinting toward the kitchen. "I had a feeling that getting James away from the house was some kind of setup."
Katherine slams her book shut and rises to her feet, alarm flashing across her features. "You think that's the real reason behind the Vampire Council meeting?"
"It's possible. Though I'm not sure how they'd know whether I'd accompany him or stay behind." I move through the kitchen and snatch my boots and jacket from the back entryway.
"What exactly are you planning?"
"I'm going to find out what this bastard wants."
