Nora's POV
"Thanks for dropping everything to come over," I say to my friends gathered around the dining table.
"Well, you did promise Gino's East pizza," Jill replies, already reaching for her second slice. "Bribery definitely works on us."
We're back home in Vivian Hill, and I called an emergency meeting with what we jokingly call the Doomsday Squad. Given our track record with supernatural disasters, the name fits perfectly.
"Plus, you had me at don't tell my mother anything," Gideon adds, pouring himself more red wine. "I'm also dying to hear more about this vampire Ophelia mentioned."
"Wait, you two have been talking?" I raise my eyebrows suggestively, earning simultaneous glares from both of them. One day they'll figure out they're completely meant for each other. "Anyway, I need to bring everyone up to speed on what's happening."
