Jill twirls strands of her auburn hair between her fingers, worry etched across her features. "I have a feeling that's going to be much harder than it sounds."
James sets the heavy tome down on the coffee table, leaving it open to a page detailing Maximus and the mysteries of the Underworld. "The divine energy blast only managed to throw War off balance temporarily. We need something with significantly more power to actually take one of them down permanently. Since hellfire was what destroyed Chad, I'm betting it'll be equally effective against the Horsemen."
Reyna rises from her seat and begins pacing toward the window, her anxiety palpable. "So what's our strategy here?"
I hate seeing my friends this terrified, even though their fear is completely justified. We're discussing how to battle the actual Horsemen of the Apocalypse, after all.
