Savannah's POV
Living with someone teaches you their deepest habits, the small rituals that define who they are beneath the surface.
During my years of marriage to Jonathan, I memorized every detail of his morning routine. He woke at dawn sharp, never a minute later. The sound of running water told me he started with a cold shower, followed by some time in his home gym. Another shower, then he dressed with military precision.
By early morning, Jonathan sat at our marble breakfast counter with the same meal every day. A single pastry paired with black coffee, no sugar, no cream. He leaned slightly forward while eating, ensuring no crumbs touched his perfectly pressed shirt. His eyes never left the contracts spread before him, even as he chewed.
