Chapter 211 - Chapter 214 Odin, the King of the Gods

Chapter 214 Odin, the King of the Gods

Following Sif into the Asgardian palace, Finney finally met the legendary Allfather, Odin, who had only one eye, for the first time.

  "Welcome to Asgard, young mage!"

Odin, with his full head of white hair and somewhat aged face, sat on his throne with an imposing aura, his voice strong and powerful, showing no signs of his advanced age.

"Greetings, Your Majesty, I am Finney Hellscythe, from Kamar-Taj."

  Finney bowed politely to Odin.

"I have heard my son Thor mention you several times!" Odin rose from his throne, walked towards Finney, and said slowly, "Midgard rarely sees a human as powerful as you!"

  "Thank you!"

Finney smiled politely, though somewhat awkwardly. On the way, he had learned a little about what Thor had said about him from Sif; while there were some praises, there were definitely more complaints.

Odin approached Finney and scrutinized him carefully with his single eye, then remarked, "Indeed, quite special!"

Finney looked puzzled, but before he could ask, Odin continued, "I'm friends with your teacher, the Ancient One. She told me you came here for the star map?"

  "Yes!"

Finney nodded, then immediately added, "I also want to see what Asgard and the other realms are like."

"I've already sent people to collect what you requested. You can wait here for a few days. Thor should be back soon, and he should be very happy to see you."

For some reason, Phineas felt that Odin seemed quite willing to let him stay.

  "Thank you, Your Majesty!"

Regardless, Odin's cooperation pleased Phineas, and he sincerely thanked him.

Odin nodded, then returned to his throne and said, "Of the nine realms, Asgard has the most beautiful scenery. You should go and enjoy it."

"But before that, let Frigga show you where to stay."

As soon as Odin finished speaking, a gentle-looking woman stepped forward and approached Finney, saying kindly, "Hello, Mage Hellseth, I am His Majesty's wife, and also a sorceress."

  "Hello, Queen!"

Finney quickly greeted her. This must be Thor and Loki's mother, and also Loki's teacher who introduced him to close combat.

"Come with me, everything in Asgard will not disappoint you,"

Frigga said with a smile, but Finney didn't believe her at all. For example, the means of transportation they had used for travel had disappointed him greatly.

After bidding farewell to Odin, Finney followed Frigga as they strolled through the palace.

It must be said that although Wakanda and Asgard both had monarchies, Asgard truly felt like a royal residence.

"Thor has told me a lot about you. He said your magic is amazing, and you can even make a kind of fried chicken nugget that's incredibly delicious. He had his chef try many times, but to no avail, and he got quite angry about it."

Frigga chatted with Finney along the way, hoping to build rapport. Her kind and approachable demeanor was indeed easy to like.

  "It's 'Violet Chicken Nugget Roll'!"

Finney casually summoned a 'Violet Chicken Nugget Roll' and continued, "Thor has also mentioned you. He said you're the greatest mage in the Nine Realms."

  "Haha, he's just bragging!"

Frigga smiled slightly, seemingly unconcerned, and replied, "Your teacher is now the true greatest mage in the Nine Realms!"

After speaking, she stared at the chicken nugget roll in Finney's hand and asked, "Can I take a look at this?"

  "Of course!"

Finney handed over the 'Violet Chicken Nugget Roll' and continued, "I brought some gifts with me, but Ms. Sif had them taken away by her people. These foods were among them; I hope they haven't spoiled."

"Thank you, I'll check on it in a bit,"

Frigga replied, then carefully examined the 'Violet Chicken Nugget Roll' in her hand, finally sighing, "As expected of the Sorcerer Supreme's disciple, truly amazing magic!"

Looking at Frigga, who pretended to know something, Finney chuckled inwardly. Even the Ancient One couldn't understand the 'Violet Chicken Nugget Roll,' let alone her.

"If you don't mind, you can try it; the taste won't disappoint you,"

  Finney said with a smile.

Hearing Finney's words, Frigga also showed extreme trust, taking a bite without hesitation. The soul-stirring deliciousness made her stop in her tracks, lost in ecstasy.

A few seconds later, she realized what she had done, her face flushing slightly. Looking at the curious maids around her, she frankly apologized to Finney.

"No wonder Thor is so obsessed with it; there's truly no food in Asgard that can compare!"

Although the experience was a little embarrassing, Frigga still gave the 'Violet Chicken Wrap' a five-star review after finishing it.

After a short stroll through the palace, Frigga led Finney to her assigned quarters and instructed the maids, "You can rest here for a while. There will be a welcome banquet for you tonight. If you need anything, just let them know."

  "Thank you!"

Hearing about the banquet that evening, Finney was slightly taken aback, but not really surprised. Given the customs of Asgard, it would be surprising if there wasn't a banquet.

Afterwards, Frigga left, and Finney went to the balcony of the room to look at the view outside.

After sitting idly in the room for a while, Finney grew a little bored. He approached the maids and asked them what interesting places there were in Asgard.

The maids mentioned a few locations, and Finney decided to go out and see what Asgardian society was like.

After the maids informed him, he changed into Asgardian clothes to blend in with the locals, left the palace, and ventured into the streets of Asgard.

Although Asgard's technology was very advanced, the scenes and atmosphere of the streets gave Finney a strange sense of backwardness.

Finney wandered around, observing everything around him—the lazy street vendors hawking their wares, the medieval-style shops—all of which fascinated him.

However, since he didn't have Asgardian currency, he couldn't buy anything and could only look on longingly, thinking about finding an opportunity to get some money to buy some gifts to take back.

It wasn't until evening that Finney returned to the palace, ready to attend the welcoming banquet prepared for him.

Although he didn't particularly like this way of welcoming him, considering it was probably an Asgardian custom, he couldn't refuse, so he could only hope it would end soon.

As night fell, Finney, led by Sif, arrived at the banquet. Upon entering, he almost thought he'd come to the wrong place.

The environment was dirty and chaotic, noisy and chaotic, and some people were even drunk, seemingly fighting each other. Finney stared at the scene before him, slightly stunned.
