Chapter 189 - Chapter 191 Thirty Years East of the River, Thirty Years West of the River

Chapter 191 Thirty Years East of the River, Thirty Years West of the River

The evolution of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon was basically equivalent to his increasing strength, so Finney checked the time, got up, opened a portal to his training place in the Himalayas, and summoned the Blue-Eyes White Dragon.

  "Roar!"

After appearing, the Blue-Eyes White Dragon roared at Finney. Although it had not yet developed its own consciousness, it seemed to have some kind of instinct that made it unhappy that it had hardly come out during this period.

Finney flew into the air and comforted it by patting its neck, smiling and saying, "Sorry, sorry, I've been a bit busy lately and haven't had time for you."

The Blue-Eyes White Dragon let out a soft hiss, it was unclear whether it understood Finney's meaning or not.

Finney didn't care. He had a feeling that as long as it continued to evolve, the Blue-Eyes White Dragon would definitely develop intelligence one day.

Then, Finney began to practice the 'Breathing Technique' as usual while summoning 'Sensual Chicken Nuggets Rolls' to feed the Blue-Eyes White Dragon.

After so much effort, he still couldn't fully integrate the 'Breathing Technique' into his daily life and still needed to actively activate it.

However, after practicing for so long, he hadn't come away empty-handed.

At least during battle, he only needed to spare a little attention to maintain his breathing.

After feeding him for over three hours—almost a month's worth of Kamar-Taj's reserves—the Blue-Eyes White Dragon finally reached the critical point for evolution.

Its body emitted a hazy white light, and it began its evolution under the night sky.

  "Roar!"

  The evolution was quickly completed.

Looking at the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, now evolved to four stars, Finney happily observed its changes.

Its body had grown larger, and its already pristine white scales shimmered with a faint fluorescence in the moonlight, appearing even brighter.

Finney guessed that this evolution might have strengthened the Blue-Eyes White Dragon's scales' defense. Looking at the jade-like scales, he was almost reluctant to test them.

However, he eventually summoned his 'Demon Possession' longsword and poked at them, simultaneously bombarding them with a few weak 'Explosion Magic' spells.

As expected, it didn't cause any damage.

Only after gradually increasing his strength, even without using 'Breathing Technique' and stabbing with all his might, did he manage to leave a mark on the scales.

Although the defense greatly exceeded Finney's expectations, unfortunately, the four-star Blue-Eyes White Dragon didn't acquire any new skills.

Finney then tested other aspects; speed and strength had also improved, though not as significantly as the defense.

After testing, Finney began to consider whether to go back and get the Cosmic Cube to feed the Blue-Eyes White Dragon. After some hesitation, he gritted his teeth and decided to give it a try.

Back in her room, Finney retrieved the Cosmic Cube. Before feeding it, she threatened it,

"I know you're intelligent. I haven't settled the score with you for teleporting me last time, so borrowing some energy from you isn't unreasonable, is it? Your energy is limitless anyway."

The Cosmic Cube, as always, remained aloof, ignoring Finney. Seeing this, Finney snorted and said nothing more. She glanced at the Blue-Eyes White Dragon and tossed the Cosmic Cube into its mouth.

The pale blue Cosmic Cube was swallowed whole by the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, and Finney waited anxiously.

Seven seconds later, before Finney could even smile with delight, the Blue-Eyes White Dragon suddenly whimpered and spat the cube out completely.

Although she had somewhat expected this, Finney was still slightly disappointed. Looking at the Cosmic Cube still covered in drool on the ground, Finney picked it up irritably, wiped it clean, and complained:

"You're all so stingy! Just you wait. Fortune changes every thirty years. Don't underestimate a young man's potential. You'll regret this when I become stronger."

  The Tesseract remained unresponsive.

As Finney wiped the Tesseract clean, he suddenly noticed tiny cracks appearing on its glass-like surface, causing him to pause slightly in surprise.

The Tesseract was the vessel for the Space Stone; more accurately, it was a layer of material that suppressed the Space Stone's power.

Without a sufficiently strong body, one couldn't easily touch the Infinity Stones, but Finney felt that this was probably a standard by which the stones chose their users, much like the Soul Stone's sacrifice.

The gist was: You're too weak, don't touch me!

Looking at the tiny cracks, Finney was slightly worried, unsure if he was now qualified to directly touch the Space Stone.

After all, back on Vormir, the Soul Stone had deemed him too weak to use it.

Examining the fine cracks, Finney guessed it was due to feeding it to the Blue-Eyes White Dragon earlier. Although it hadn't absorbed the Space Stone's power, it seemed to have absorbed a trace of the outer layer's energy, leading to the current situation.

"Looks like I'll have to find a chance to go there,"

Finney frowned, pondering a solution. The cracks indicated its structure was no longer stable; the Tesseract could shatter at any moment.

Without the Tesseract as its vessel, he'd need a new one. There weren't many things on Earth capable of withstanding the power of the Infinity Stones, but Finney happened to know of one:

  Wakanda's Vibranium.

This metal was likely top-tier in the universe, so it should be able to serve as a vessel for the Space Stone.

However, Wakanda was extremely xenophobic, and coupled with the presence of the leopard god, he'd always avoided contact. But now, he had to find an opportunity to go.

Thinking about how to persuade them to hand over the Vibranium gave Finney a headache. With the leopard god around, he didn't want to resort to force right away.

However, if they really disagreed, Finney had a way. He remembered that there was still some Vibranium circulating in the market. If all else failed, he could have Hydra investigate and buy it.

The next day, Finney got up and was about to check his classes when he suddenly remembered that he had graduated.

Arriving in the living room, Skye, unusually not sleeping in, greeted him with a smile: "Good morning, how's your first day after graduation?"

  "Not bad!"

Finney replied lazily, sitting at the dining table and casually summoning a few 'Violet Chicken Wraps' for breakfast.

  "Any plans for the future?"

Skye came to Finney's side, picked up a chicken wrap, and asked curiously while eating.

"Well, there are many things to handle, so I might be a bit busy."

Finney nodded, thinking about his next tasks. The eighth draw was of course the most important, and then there was the Tesseract that had caused problems last night.

The power of the Infinity Stones was too great; if not handled properly, the damage would be too great.

   Suddenly, I'm a bit stuck on the plot… I'm typing a bit slowly…
