Like being hit by a cannonball, Loki flew through the air, his face swelling visibly, a testament to the immense power of the punch.
Finney followed closely behind. In his 'Breathing Technique' state, the power and speed he could unleash far exceeded his expectations. His blood, through respiration, frantically drew in oxygen from the surrounding environment, strengthening his bodily functions.
At this moment, even against an enraged Hulk, Finney felt he could hold his own. His powerful burst of speed allowed him to reach Loki again before Loki even hit the ground, delivering a punch to the head and slamming him to the ground.
Finney gave Loki no time to react, pinning him to the ground and then relentlessly punching him in the face, silencing him completely.
"I told you to go find Thanos!"
Finney punched Loki's left cheek.
"I told you to invade Earth!" Finney punched Loki's right cheek.
"I told you to kidnap Hulk!" another punch to the left cheek.
"Serves you right for ambushing me!" Finney slammed
his fist into Loki's right cheek again.
"Serves you right…"
Finney paused, seemingly unsure what to say, but his hand continued its relentless blow to Loki's left cheek, then continued, "Serves you right for being so ugly!"
Loki, in excruciating pain, was internally collapsing. Although he wasn't as popular as Thor in Asgard, he was still the beloved second prince!
"Enough…"
Loki was terrified. He couldn't understand why Finney had suddenly become so powerful, like he was on steroids, his strength completely different from their initial battle two days ago.
How could this Earthling be so strong!?
He tried to beg for mercy, but before he could even fully open his mouth, the enraged Finney punched him.
"Crack!"
Two teeth flew out.
At this point, Loki was so badly beaten by Finney that even Odin might not recognize him. His entire face was almost completely swollen, and his eyes were nearly invisible.
If it weren't for the Frost Giant's powerful physique, Thor would probably be preparing for Loki's funeral upon his return. However, even with the Frost Giant's incredible vitality, if Finney continued to beat him like this, Loki would be finished.
The fear of death filled Loki with immense regret at that moment. Why did he choose to come to Earth? Wouldn't it have been better to go to other realms? The light elves of Alfheim certainly wouldn't have been so violent.
Loki frantically tried to find a way to save himself, but Finney's fists were like branding irons, each punch inflicting immense pain and weakening his consciousness.
Seeing Loki's condition, Finney involuntarily stopped.
The earlier beating had calmed his anger considerably, and he had considered whether to finish Loki off completely; given Loki's strength, he would undoubtedly gain a significant amount of experience.
However, thinking of Thor and Odin still alive in Asgard, Finney hesitated and ultimately decided against taking the full force of the attack.
Even though Loki had committed so many crimes in Asgard, Finney still couldn't guarantee that Odin or Frigga wouldn't care about Loki's life or death. The fact that Odin immediately sent Thor after Heimdall discovered him showed that they clearly still had feelings for Loki.
Otherwise, if others didn't understand Earth's fighting strength, wouldn't Odin understand?
Sending Thor to Earth, ostensibly for support, might actually be a way to save Loki.
Just then, Finney suddenly felt a burst of spatial energy erupt. Turning around, he saw a blue beam of light rise from the ground and shoot into the sky.
Finney's expression changed. Because he had been focused on maintaining his breathing technique and busy fighting Loki, he had forgotten to destroy the portal's equipment first.
However, he didn't panic. He looked back at the Mind Staff, which had also fallen to the ground when Loki was knocked away, and quickly picked it up.
Finney held the Mind Staff, felt its power, and poked it at Eric Selvig, who was excitedly shouting that he had succeeded, thus releasing Loki from his control.
"I...I...what have I done!"
Eric Selvig regained his composure, his face instantly turning pale. His excitement vanished completely, replaced by a pained expression as he stared at the opening portal ahead.
"Stop talking nonsense, this thing should be able to shut it down!"
Finney had already sensed an energy barrier forming around the Cosmic Cube. Breaking it was practically impossible for him in his current state, but thankfully he remembered that in the original story, he could use the Mind Staff to destroy it.
"Right, right!"
Eric Selvig suddenly realized, nodding quickly and saying, "The staff and the cube have the same power; it can stop the portal from opening further."
However, just as Finney was about to thrust the Mind Staff at the Cosmic Cube, he couldn't help but look up at the slowly opening portal in the sky.
"Speaking of which, this is all experience!"
A thought suddenly flashed through Finney's mind. Since the portal was already open, why not take this opportunity to gain some experience before closing it?
Loki has been spared for now, but the Chitauri can't be spared too; there's no possibility of reconciliation between him and Thanos.
Looking at the half-dead Loki lying on the ground in the distance, Finney first used the 'Golden Grand Manifestation' command to render him unconscious. Then, after ensuring there were no enemies around, he handed the Mind Staff to Eric Selvig.
"Here, take it. Watch my actions later, then close the portal."
Eric Selvig was taken aback and asked in surprise, "What are you planning to do?"
"Say hello to the aliens!"
Finney exhaled, extending his palm and summoning the Blue-Eyes White Dragon card.
"My turn, come forth, Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"
The enormous Blue-Eyes White Dragon appeared on Stark's rooftop, startling Eric Selvig who was setting up equipment, and exciting the New Yorkers who had already gathered below.
"A dragon! Oh God, I saw a dragon!"
"It's the Divine Punishment Knight! I saw him!"
"What's he going to do? Is he going to destroy the world?!"
"What's that hole in the sky? It looks like something's coming out of it?"
"The Divine Punishment Knight, no, the Divine Punishment Dragon Knight! I knew it, I knew it, he definitely has a mount!"
The overall enhancement of his body allowed Finney to reach an astonishing limit in hearing his ears. Even from this high-rise building, he could hear the citizens' shock and exclamations.
However, none of this was what he had hoped for; things were indeed developing in the direction he least wanted. "
I'm a mage!"
Finney wanted to rush down and shout, but seeing the Chitauri already peeking out from the portal, he didn't hesitate and immediately mounted the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, preparing to fly upwards.
At the same time, he instructed Eric Selvig, "Remember, as soon as I come out of the portal, close it immediately!"
Eric Selvig seemed to understand what Finney wanted to do, his eyes filled with disbelief, muttering repeatedly, "This is insane!"
Finney rode the Blue-Eyes White Dragon towards the portal!
This was probably why Finney felt he wouldn't become a superhero. If it were any other superhero, they would probably close the portal immediately, prioritizing the safety of the city.
But he was somewhat selfish and impulsive, wanting to gain experience first before closing it, even if it might cause accidents or even many casualties.
During the flight, Finney saw that the somewhat impatient Chitauri soldiers had already emerged from the portal. Without hesitation, he unleashed a 'Explosion Magic' on them, killing them before they could even see the beauty of Earth.
The three-star Blue-Eyes White Dragon was very fast, especially for such a straight-line distance. In the blink of an eye, Finney arrived at the entrance of the portal, but the portal was not yet fully open, not enough for the massive Blue-Eyes White Dragon to pass through.
Finney wasn't in a hurry. Through the portal, he could see the Chitauri's mothership, many times larger than S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Sky Carrier.
"Look up, aim straight ahead, Explosive Gale Blast!"
At the portal's entrance, Finney blocked the Chitauri from passing while issuing the order to the Blue-Eyes White Dragon.
Meanwhile, the Chitauri army, seeing the portal open, was excitedly preparing to pilot their ships down to invade when they suddenly noticed a bright white light flashing at the entrance.
"What's that!?"
The Chitauri soldiers curiously peered in. It was
like staring into an abyss!
